All you need to do is look back at players from thre past and see how many of them played D-1 ball from SE TX. I believe your list will dwindle considerably. Many of the past players were better than most on this list and they didn't play D-1 ball. There is a lot of great talent all over the country. You need great BB skills, size, speed, grades, exposure and a LOT OF LUCK to be selected to play D-1 ball. Good luck to all those who put in the time to get there.

Heck I'm still trying to figure out how my comment and Soulja's about why TB didn't get picked for 1st team All-District turned us into haters of the young man. I certainly can't answer how Neumann's named got pulled into this deal.

Well said Soulja. Brown is a remarable athlete with an incredible pedigree. He will have his choice of Big Time colleges based on his speed and athletism and I am happy for him and his family. However, as Soulja said his numbers were not that impressive. I know when we played Ozen, I had to keep reminding myself Brown was on the field, so I would make a point to watch him, cause he just wasn't making big plays to get my attention. The players who had great seasons shouldn't have to take a back seat to a player who may have better athletism and the media attention, but didn't put up the numbers. This year I believe he landed where he deserved to. 

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh  Mytwocents --- Keep it down or the next thing we will see will be a thread by DEMWIT stating all the SC players got robbed cause all the 4A recipients were really 5A players.    :'(

You are darn right Bronco fans. Carranco and the record would have been my first priority this year. What a shame. Congrats to all these boys.

Actually, we're all just guessing. However, some on here sound more convincing than others and I'm not necessarily speaking of myself. I am, however; willing to make a prediction, while others, on here, will only say -- it depends on which team shows up. I am glad you at least went out on a limb.    ;D

Sorry, This won't even be close. Ned by as many as they want. The better question might be - how long will the starters play? I see this as a game to get some experience for the bench. No disrespect to the Vidor fans, but you aren't in the same league as Ned in BB this year. Although I haven't even seen you play I feel quite comfortable making that statement. Since this is a prediction forum I will say Ned by 25 -30. 

Great game for the dogs tonight. A huge confidence builder. Very happy for Z English, dad and the whole family. The best I've ever seen him play.  Ned handled the pressure tonight much better than I thought they would. This was a good test for the upcoming district foes of Ozen and Central. Also, was happy for Landry( The Rifle) huge game with 4-3"s. Ned was hitting their outside shots tonight and that was the difference.   

Didn't mean to offend ---The Almighty comes strictly from respect and me being a little funny. I guess I should have known better since we are not that familiar with one another. It just seems you are the man in the know in HJ. By the way, you won't get an argument out of me in re the benefits of playing basketball. It just happens to be, this year, the game of BB has been ill advised for one of the Nederland FB players to participate in. He made a tough decision, but it is the right one for him. It is just unfortunate folks make comments without knowing the full story.     

Scapegoat save your breath. You need to realize you are arguing with dads who get upset that a coach might make their child lift a two pound dumbbell during off season.  ;D  :P  With that being said, no doubt BB will help a kid with his footwork among other things. I do have a question for Almighty Nash--- When Persohn (sp) would finish his football season and go onto BB did the community of HJ refer to him as a FB player or was he considered a BB player like the rest of the team?    Back on topic --- If Silsbee is allowed to play aggressive they win by 15+  If the refs call a tight came, which favors the Dogs, Silsbee wins by 6. It will be fun to watch -- I have never been to the Tiger Den. Good luck to both teams 

You are so right Dogfan. None of those boys had any basketball skills to help the team anyway according to some. I personally just don't understand why your best player, his dad and the head coach were so upset this am. Go figure.

I originally predicted a 15+ win for Silsbee. However, with the news that will be coming out of Ned's camp late today the team will be down and this game may get way out of hand. Stay tuned for more details.  :-X

Tooooooooo much guard play from Silsbee for Ned to hang. If Silsbee is allowed to play aggressive they will dominate the Dogs. Ned is in dire need of a good PG and ball handlers with none in sight. I say Silsbee by +15.  :o

You are so right BD3. The most difficult thing for the athlete and their parents is to realize and determine what level they are truly at. I'm not necessarily speaking about Mitchell - just in general.
