I hope the best for Robert. He may get a D1a school to offer this late, but not likely. Most probably already have their QB's lined up and unless he has been talking to coaches consistently the bigger offer probably won't come. Not impossible - just not likely this late.  Now if he was still playing,like the Georgetown QB, hat could change some minds.

Actually Stampley only had 1 pick 6 in district the other was against Angleton. Wood had 1 pick 6 (PNG) and recovered a fumble in the end zone after taking the ball away from the punter in either the Central or Ozen game. My choices for Dist Superlatives are: MVP -  Montana OPY -  Sezar DPY -  a Ned player. It's a toss up between Stampley, Couron, Pryor and Washington. Washington is probably the most popular of the others, but his district #'s weren't as good as the other three. If I had to go with one it would probably be Stampley. He was the most consistent every night and led the team in tackles.

I've since seen his highlight video's --- what a player. Thanks for the info gents.

Can someone please create some kind of trophy for these 2 SC posters? I don't believe a participation ribbon is going to be enough. My word folks - Turn all this negative energy into a positive and get your kids better for next year.

Sounds like Ned's new coach may be a difference maker. I would love to see some excitement around the girls program.

I agree with you oldbuc, but it is all that glitz that attracts the best athletes and it's hard to beat the best athletes when they have good coaching to go with it. It's all about $$$$$$$$$$$ now. Parents are moving their good athletes, to great programs, just to win a championship.

You are so right Matt. You can't have any bad apples in the basket cause eventually it/they will all effect the rest of the bushell. I am not close to Dayton's situation, but I did read a few points on here. I believe part of Ned's success this year was because of the great comradery between the players. I never had a chance to watch your outstanding fresh play, this year, but it sounds like the talent will be around for years to come. Hopefully, these young men won't get cheated by lack of coaching.

There is too much talent in Dayton to be so basic. I don't know your OC, but not enough creativity. Maybe I can send him my play book from JR football.  I'm not joking either. My 12 yr olds ran a way more sophisticated O than your team. All  you showed, the 3 games I watched, was run left, run right and the occasional backyard pass. Maybe the personnel couldn't run more than that IDK. With that being said, I knew you were going to miss Herrera this year and maybe that was the biggest problem. Your D is pretty good, but I don't understand the tight 3 man front. I don't believe I witnessed a blitz in any of the games I watched either.

You are soooooooooooo right. The phone and texting drives me crazy while the game is going on. I suppose most are teachers who are doing extra odd jobs for extra pay. I would imagine most don't even want to be at the game in the first place.  >:(

Folks, there is a simple explanation as to what happened to SC -----Summer is over, Fall is nearing the end and winter is just around the corner. In other words --THEIR SEASON IS OVER. Sorry for the shouting  ;D

Ned is home, but will wear their white away jersey's. Apparently, Dawson indicated they did not have enough light colored jersey's to suit up their team. Maybe they moved up a lot of JV and not enough to suit out the team.  I hope they wear all red --maybe it will inflame our boys.  ;D    Last year we were visitors, wore our white and Dawson came in Light gray --go figure.  I believe Dawson is the Oregon of HS football -- they have about 8-10 different combos of colors they have worn in the past. 

BD3 does " BEST" mean toughest or easiest to win bracket? Please elaborate.  :D

How good is Walker compared to others that are playing in the Tourney?

BD3 you know exactly what is wrong with Ned. You have hinted in the past, but always elected not to say. Since noone else wants to step up I guess I will. The present makeup is a good team of bb specialists, but they lack the ability to play good teams physical. That coupled with the fact they are all average ball handlers they just don't match up with good, aggressive physical teams. These boy's are BB specialist for a reason --- they didn't like the physical contact on a football field. I know because I coached all of them  in football in the past. If we were still playing BB as it were back 25 -30 yrs ago ---this would be a great team. Last night vs WB they looked good when they were willing to crash the boards and muscle up shots. However, you are just not going to get this group to do that all night. I expect similar/same results in the YMBL If and when the FB players come out, it should help the team some on the boards -- that is if Coach E is willing to use them. There is also rumor they may get a lightning kick guard back out, who in my opinion would help this team tremendously, but again will Coach E allow him to play and more important use him. These are questions we will find out in the future. In the mean time go dogs.

Your coaching was suspect last week when you couldn't stop a running team that was much smaller, and slower than your athletes. I knew when you faced a team with a good balanced O and a D that could put a little pressure on and had a few decent DB's you would go out.

DemDwags and SCIS are calling for a recount  ;D The numbers just can't be right - nobody smaller than us takes the champs to the woodshed and has their way with us.

Sounds like your coach should have used Dayton's strategy ---- Lose the Battle to Win the War. If you don't understand this strategy, please contact AAW he can explain it better than I.
