  1. Actually, I believe you have been thinking of that since last year.  >:(
  2. I can't say how good the coaching was. Mitchell would have carried the whole team on his back to get the W last night. Outstanding performance by the QB. Most of the plays were stretched out by Mitchell til a receiver got open and when they didn't he took off and killed LCM with his legs and his arms. The D was adequate, but Crouch was way too predictable. Sezar,Sezar,Sezar. He truly is a great back, but they just zeroed in on him the 2nd half and stopped him when they needed to. LCM has a lot of talent on O. I just would have went to other playmakers more often. jmo
  3. Places like PNG and Dayton might be good for smaller schools, but you can't attract schools with good followings do to your unbalanced seating. I would say we will see games at the Butch, Lamar and Stallworth etc for our SETX 4A schools.
  4. Man! I keep voting for the game of the week and y'all are getting further behind.
  5. I agree. Save on travel and take your own treats in. :D  I'm more concerned about the field and seating.
  6. Ned's next year QB should be White. Seay is too valuable on D imo. I could see moving Seay to LB and playing some optional O - wilddog, FB, WR etc.  White, should be a little more accurate than Raines and may make better decisions. Raines is a much better runner than White though. Either way, The Dogs will be the front runner for another title next season.
  7. I would have to go with Mitchell from Central. He nearly carried the whole team on his back and he wasn't leaving without a W. Great job son. I enjoyed watching you last night. Now you need to dial that back some, this week, cuz I don't want you beatin my Dogs.  ;D
  8. In all fairness to Lamar U they don't run their own concession stand. A private company(forgot the name) has all of LU's food contract and they decide the food, # of employees etc. What is really crazy the contract between the two forces LU to pay for the staff, to man the concessions, so I don't know why the private company would be understaffed.
  9. Did C.James transfer back to WOS? I did not see him when we played Ozen a few weeks ago.
  10. Watched Central vs LCM last night. I will say this is exactly the matchup NED needs going into the playoffs. Central's Mitchell is, by far, the best balanced QB in district. He has a cannon for an arm, moves in the pocket well, can find the open receiver and is very dangerous when he takes off on the run. Central has many speedy receivers that can get open as well. This team will be a great test for our D. With that being said, Central's O-line is mediocre, not much of a running game (other than Mitchell taking off) and their D is below average. I can see this being similar to the Crosby test with more scoring. Ned's Washington and Couron will be flying to the backfield, from the ends, and Mitchell will be running for his life. Malveaux, Pryor, Stampley and Wood will be there to mop up on the inside or outside when Mitchell gets flushed out. I personally would Mirror Mitchell with a speedy LB. I expect this to be a very exciting and fun game to watch - much like last years Ozen game. As far as a NED let-down. I suppose anything can happen. Keep in mind this is the last home game for one of the best Sr. classes ever to set foot on Ned's turf along with the sole district title on the line. I expect our boy's will be ready to play and the D won't allow it to get out of hand.  Ned 35 - Central 20
  11. She's trying to figure out how to leave the stadium quietly. She is bored and tired of watching those pathetic Longhorns.  ;D
  12. Man, where's all that preseason smack about Dayton pummeling SC. I guess now that the game is near all we get is crickets. [Hidden Content];
  13. You can't expect 2nd and 3rd teamers to lay down. Most rarely get to play and they want to score or do something good as well. If your score is getting ran up frequently than I say fire the coach or move to a winning program if it bothers you.
  14. WOS fans, who cares what people think. Keep on keeping on. Stay focused and take it one game at a time. You are about to enter the playoff zone and things will get tougher. This may be the year. Heck if I listened to all the naysayers on here Ned (my team) would only have about one win this year -- cause we are way overrated and our D stinks. Now go bring back some hardware to SETX.
  15. No obsession here. I'm just fascinated by their international roster. You usually don't see that until the college level. What do you suppose their budget is for attracting transfers Nash?
  16. It will be interesting to see how these two great D's match up against SC.
  17. Maybe they just don't want anyone to know where their[s] recruits [/s] transfers are from. Perhaps it's Less suspicion that way.  ;D
  18. Man, with so much emphasis and attention to their BB program you would think they could at least get the roster correct.  :o
  19. If I'm reading Absent correctly, he is saying Ned with English and his at least two good players will beat Central this year.  :o
  20. Oops! You're right. In the words of your alums WOS is the BESTEST  ;)
  21. Haven't you guys/gals been reading these threads?  WOS WOS WOS WOS WOS WOS. Not only will they whip all of 3A they could manhandle 5A from the Top down -----just ask em.  :o  Well at least in football
  22. Love the article Korbin. Even more so enjoyed the pick 6 which sealed last weeks game. Can't wait to watch DIDBA Friday night. I know you are gonna GET SUM. My what a difference a year makes. You may have missed last years game, but  now you are a captain with a lot to prove. NO MERCY. Don't even let up after all the feathers have been plucked.  ;D
  23. Ned had several thousand pound members strategically placed around the Hamburger Depot neighborhood waiting to attack any incoming tribesman, but they were a no-show. Unfortunately, by the time we realized the tribe wasn't coming, it was too late and the show was off the air. I blame the NDNS.  :D
  24. Hey! Now that's snippin below the belt.  ;D
  25. How many NDNS will it take to beat the Bulldogs this Friday? Well let's see. We got 1 little, 2 little, 3 little NDNS, 4 little, 5 little, 6 little NDNS, 7 little, 8 little, 9 little NDNS, 10 little, 11 little, 12 little NDNS  ----- Oh the Heck with this. I don't think I can count that high.  :D  Let's just say more than you'll have on the field Friday night.    ;D
