  1. Man! How would you like to be 2 - 4 and getting ready to play the tough part of 20 - 4A. NED, @ VIDOR, OZEN, @ LIVINGSTON. I sho wouldn't want to get my 8th loss of the season, on the road, while listening to Reba scream all night. BF may have been upbeat in August, but he is sure to be beatup come November.
  2. I believe that will be 2nd to last Supergold.
  3. I think you just proved my point 1987. If White doesn't play QB, where he would be effective, he is a punter. Too many WR at Ned the next few years so I don't see White as a starter there. I will go one step further and say if White does not start at QB he will concentrate on baseball. I do agree with you about Smith at TE, but he will not make LB--just doesn't have the speed that others on the team will have.
  4. Since I was the first to post White will be the 2013 QB  and Smith the 2014 I will say this about Seay. No doubt Seay would be a very capable QB for Ned. Reality is Ned is a much stronger team with Seay playing D and some O. Maybe WR, Wilddog or some form of ball handler. White and Smith are very capable QB's as well, but I'm not sure where they play if not QB. Both strengths are at QB and very capable to lead the Dogs. Ned has an abundance of talent for the next two years at least and I don't see Neumann employing a Vidor scheme (QB/LB) with Seay. Not saying he couldn't handle the job, but I don't see Neumann taking the chance with the talent he will have. On another note: Couron will likely be replaced by Jeron Johnson and Pryor by Holman
  5. Based on that logic, I say lose a game soon, slip out of the top ten and you're sure to win state.  ;D This could be the year the Stangs make some real noise.
  6. I originally had Central taking the 4th spot this year and I'm sticken with that. I will tell you Livingston will be tough and I suspect LCM will be as well. Maybe another big win will get your team on a roll confidence wise and you'll make a run down the stretch. Good Luck the rest of the way. If nothing else, it sounds like your young gun BB team will make plenty of noise this year.
  7. Great kid. Loved watching him punish Livingston's DB's the 2nd half. Stay healthy Petee we need you all the way.
  8. Soulja's gettin a little swag after that first big win. Can't wait to see his confidence after #2. Feels good don't it good buddy?  Central  28 - PNG  10
  9. Oh we all know Robs ranking in Nederland. He is the same guy that felt compelled to share his second hand chew with our players as they were exiting the field heading to the locker room and the same who was telling our cheerleaders and band he was #1 as our buses were leaving. Vidor must be so proud of you Rob. Oh yeah, my favorite player would be #92 who blocked Vidor's assassin in the dirt, on the blocked punt, and continued to block him to the point the Vidor crowd got all bent out of shape. All that booing over a legal block. I know my buddy Rob enjoyed the play.
  10. Don't overlook the Lions. They are a pretty salty team on both sides of the ball. I was impressed last Friday vs Ned.
  11. Not sure what your point is Dogggs. I know Charlie, Ryan and the whole gang. As many have said NED is a team ran by Neumann. Players are going to play where he and the rest of the coaches think they should in order to strengthen the team. The soph is in the right position for now. Again, I do expect he will play some O in the future and he may even play QB as a backup. I certainly don't see Neumann employing a Vidor scheme (QB/LB) with all the talent he has over the next two years. If dad and player are unhappy, than by all means move to LA. I would be surprised if Momma would allow it though.  I do have one question you might be able to answer for me though. I never did ask Charlie why Ryan didn't play HS football. He was a beast in 8th grade and he would have helped Ned in HS, but he moved off and apparently never played FB. At least that is what I was told. Maybe you can enlighten me on that as well.
  12. If Dogggs truly knew the Soph like some of us, he would know the kid would rather play D and lower the boom on somebody. By the way he will not be the starter at QB the next 2 years either. the Qb's will be White in 2013 and Smith in 2014, as long as they are healthy. Soph Seay is right where he needs to be this year. It makes for a much stronger team. I think he will continue to play D first and will probably play some O as well in the next two years. Perhaps he will run the WildDog with options. These boys will be fun to watch at least two more years.
  13. WOW! Sounds like BD3 has some splainin to do. We are all waiting for your answer. Maybe he is consulting with DV.  ;D
  14. I see the circus must have been in your town as well.  ;D
  15. I have no doubt Ned will be good again next year. Better than this year? I wouldn't go that far. I could see the O with more depth at RB and I llike the tall lanky WR on JV. The D will not be as dominating though. You will have to replace Pryor, Couron, Stampley, Wood, Taylor, Shaw and Barrow. Most of these guys have been 3 yr starters and All-District at that. I see the team falling off some next year than it will gradually start going in a different direction with the upcoming talent. I don't see this huge talent pool in the  8-9 grades that you are talking about, but time will tell.
  16. I agree LB76. This group from LCM has always been scrappy. Even back in STJFL they fought to the end. They play us close when at home as well. I will say Harley will have trouble with the pass rush. It will be unlike any team he has faced to date. I say Dogs  28 - 10.
  17. Yeah me either. A fresh would have to be incredible since most are only 14 yrs old during football season. Unless he's been redshirted and even than were talking 15. Don't get desperate and move up kids until their ready. It may effect their entire HS career. On another note. I would not say Ned does not cycle PNG Proud. It will be real interesting to see what Neumann and Co does with this years freshman group. The 8th grade looks slim on talent as well. Neumann may just duck out before this group gets up there. if not it may be Neumann's biggest challenge in a long while.
  18. You guys/gals nominating Ned players are definitely homers. We do not have any player that should be considered in this category. English is a good shooting guard, but not a PG. Our biggest weakness is handling the ball. If you think I'm nuts just ask BD3 he knows exactly what I'm talking about.  Tell em Blue.
  19. Who's all playing for Ned? They should have their starters and perhaps their entire team there.
  20. I don't believe my post said anything about the clowns being one sided.
  21. Some need to learn a coach can only do so much with the talent he has. Sure a good coach can turn a team into a winner, but if your cupborads are bare, like PNGs, your not going to be able to do much. Could Faircloth do more this year? Perhaps, but lets face it I don't see any big playmakers this year. I am not an expert on PNG history, but I would be willing to bet this is the least talent they have fielded in a long time. The team needs to somehow rise above all this and try to scratch out a win, cause it isn't going to get any easier the rest of the way. Keep fightin tribe. Good luck.
  22. I few of them were sent to the Ned game. Our clowns couldn't even mark the ball properly last night.
  23. Just so you know BG. If Livingston upsets NED. I am going to come to the visitors side and throw the gatorade on the first guy I see who is wearing Arkansas atire.  ;D
  24. What caused the early release? Win at all costs is what I always say.
  25. I may not know much, but I know PNG won't make the playoffs this year. I could see Central coming on for a spot though. I still think they are better than they have shown. It does appear the front runners at this point are Nederland, Vidor, Ozen and Livingston. We shall see.
