  1. Wow, you must have had really good seating!!! I don't know whether Coach Orebo did that or not, but I would be willing to bet that she got caught up in the moment (if she did). As far as not being classy...I can recall a when ancelot has not shown great class, so we don't want to go there. This is a big game (every year) and it will continue to be. You don't like to see anyone foul out, but if you are a team fighting to have a shot at post-season, then any thing that goes your way "excites" you (I say that loosely). kk and sanders are hustlers and playmakers and orangefield may not be in 1st place, but they are going to the playoffs. Hopefully, the Lady Mustangs will be joining them.
  2. One player is not the team. Andre hustles like there is no tomorrow, but someone will step up and if it's meant to be...it's meant to be.
  3. way to go Mustangs...2 for 2 tonight. ;D
  4. Obviously, you have never seen WO-S play. B.Scott is definitely the leader of the team, but she doesn't do it by herself. If you had any questions about her and the team's caliber, then you should have been at the game tonight. As for who Kilgore plays...Lamar is irrelevant...she's going to UH!
  5. First year in this new MEGA district! Congrats on the win. Sure was close...was the last game?
  6. That was playoff-caliber basketball. Way to go Lady Mustangs!!! Great showing on Senior Night. B.Scott...you are an awesome PERSON. Yep...student, athlete, role-model, etc., etc. Tonight you showed your potential and your heart. 8) Beck...way to play. You were where you were supposed to be. NaNa was with you tonight and you know it!!! Janae...rebounds and smart play. Thank goodness for your height...it was a life-saver on the press. Dominique, you may have fouled out, but your presence was felt. ;D As a team, you pulled yourselves together and pulled off a great win. Knowing that you only had to bench players, you made mistakes, but played smart when it counted. OF is a tough bunch and you gotta give them credit, but you guys looked like your old selves tonight!!! Again, congrats on the win and just take care of BC Friday!!! Gotta love those Lady 'Stangs!!!
  7. WO-S had a relay win 1st in state a few years back. KJ Franks & co. The 4X200m relay ran away with 3rd last year. They should be pretty good this year all around. There has been a great response.
  8. Wow...I am so shocked! :
  9. Had Mayo displayed the discipline that he should have...he would have never re-entered the situation. I am not impressed. The refs seem to be talking to him and he just walks away and then decides to walk back into the crowd and receive his 2nd tech. That type of an attitude is why NBA basketball has had so many of their problems. Although he did appear to forcefully bump into the ref, he did make slight contact and that should be unacceptable. He created that situation and all he had to do is stay out of the way initially. I don't agree with the overturning of the suspension. It should have stayed.
  10. Earl Thomas plays basketball. Jacoby Franks does not. They both play baseball and run track.
  11. Wow...I guess it's a good thing that E.Thomas is going to UT on a football scholarship, huh?
  12. And, of course...you would know about "cheap". Injuries are a part of life and a season. Where are you from? Does your team even have a suit that is complete? If they make it...they make it. If they don't, then it just wasn't meant to be.
  13. So did the Cats....duh!!!!!
  14. And...your point? I mean, I wish the guy the best at his coaching move, but the point is somebody wanted to compare the two young ladies...it's obvious that most of the people who voted chose B.Scott. kellum is a good player, but she is not the caliber as B.Scott. Baylor? Why would you go to a juco, when you have offers from Ga.Tech and aspirations to go to Baylor? Jucos are normally stepping stones and a chance to adjust to the college scene (or step up your game and hope that a college/university notices your talent)... I am truly not trying to "down" kellum, but you're talking about how great she is and how she's being recruited...why would she choose to go to a juco? Besides, B.Scott is B.Scott and everyone who has seen both young ladies play can see who is the better all-around player!!!
  15. B.Scott is an all-around package. Probably her biggest problem is height, but she will get in there and hop with the best of them. Kellum is good, but seeing her play against B.Scott...naw. I know that people will talk about how many points she had and that's all great, but I don't think that her defense is up to par with B.Scott. I, too, have heard that her name mingled with Kilgore. Is there any truth to that?
  16. WO-S will lose Netherly, but we have some real hustlers on JV. Several JV players can shoot pretty well. As far as talent, WO-S is almost overloaded with talent, but that is not a good thing all of the time because sometimes...talent is very difficult to coach. Gotta have a good blend of talent and heart. Attitude is as crucial as any one other factor.
  17. Congrats Tigers. I wasn't there, but heard that the atmosphere was phenomenal. Can't wait until Tuesday!!! Mustangs...shake it off. Get ready for Tuesday.
  18. WOW!!! It's ashamed that he sacrificed (possibly) an entire career (at least at the collegiate level) because he chose to fight and couldn't suffer the consequences. Stupid decision and irreversible consequences!!!
  19. Surely, Donahoe is getting looks from colleges besides Lamar. I mean, there is nothing wrong with Lamar, but he's got some talent. Of course, it would be great for LU to get him because there would be an increased attendance at games and not just from family members and HJ fans.
  20. Donahoe is very talented and has played very well, but one person does not make a team, especially in the playoffs. I wish HJ the best, but with an athlete like Donahoe, everyone will be targeting him and so how the rest of the TEAM steps up will be what gets them through. And, whoever said that HJ was not well-coached...you must really be clueless. Sutherland has got to be one of the best and he has the record to prove it. It is not easy to leave a great program and go to another and mold it into a great program. To bad he can't be cloned!!! I know lots of teams could use him!!!
  21. Sorry Charlie!!! WO-S has an awesome staff and many times it is just as difficult to coach the "talented kids" as anyone else. Our coaching staff requires one main ingredient from each of its players...DISCIPLINE. And, we often make up for our size with our speed which is again...a reflection on DISCIPLINE and yes...HEART.
  22. Congrats to all that earned this honor!!! Special congrats to WO-S' Dominique Rhodes who is actually currently ranked #2 in his class!!!
  23. They were late to practice, as was Buddy.
  24. Mustangs win big (by 50+ points) over BC. Congrats to the 'Stangs, but props to BC because they played with a lot of heart.
