By far...HJ has the loudest and best fan support. And, most of the noise seems to come from their student section. I will also say that our fans would never be allowed by the principal to holler some of the things that they chant. Not bad, just not very sportsmanlike. But, as I said...they are LOUD!!!!!!

Congrats Mustangs on another district win. Cut the 6-way tie!!! Looked good for the majority of the game, but then got sloppy. Of course, had you guys continued scoring, you might have been accused of trying to run up the score. You don't score enough, they were coming back. No win situation!!!

Not just that, but just as the initial team was getting the groove of things, the football players came back, so there is more adjusting to do. We'll be fine!!!

Good "Ballin_2007" because that is all you need to say!!! OF may have talent, but surprisingly, so does WO-S! OF wins games as a result of TWO THINGS: they hustle and they are fundamental (freethrows). Those two combined wins ball games as much as talent. These two teams are not much different that year's teams, so it will be a good one, but WO-S should pull it off!!!

B.Scott IS an amazing young lady. You won't find anyone with more class. She is a breath of fresh air and has not let the game and hype change her. Not only does she excel on the field...she also does well in school. UH will be a better team next season and I will commit to attend at least one game.

All I can say is.....WOW! It didn't appear to be a game-winning shot as noone tackled him!!!

Wow...she got MVP of a tourney. There is nothing left for her to conquer. If you were at the game, there is no denying that WO-S was not having a good game and that there were an extensive amount of calls against WO-S. As I said, good teams overcome bad officiating. 32 had 49 points because every time she TOUCHED the ball, she got the call. Not making excuses...WO-S lost because THEY DIDN'T MAKE FREE THROWS!!! Besides, tourney wins/losses don't count in district. District is where is counts...so...see you when it counts HOMIE!!!

WO-S, HJ, and Silsbee have the best shots at going post-season (so long as they continue to work as teams!)

Sutherland is a "bad coach"..."scared of this player"...etc. Come on guys...if anyone knows Coach Sutherland, they know his record. He left an outstanding program (that he helped create) and went to coach at another school and is successful there also. He is obviously doing something right. As for HJ...they are a good team. Everyone is capable of having an off-night. I do agree that when the starters aren't having a good night, a change-up is needed, but I can tell you that when those starters start being pulled out, some of the same posters making the suggestion will be objecting to that decision too. It's a no win situation and kudos to Sutherland and all the other coaches who dedicate their time and efforts to work with our kids...not just to make them better athletes...but more importantly, to make them better people.

Lady Mustangs! They seem to improve with each game and considering you have two post players who did not play last year...they are still learning as a team. B.Scott is the best point guard in the area.

What always puzzles me is that all of the people would do all of these things and criticize how the current coaches do their job, but THEY DON'T COACH!!! All teams have their ups and downs. Give them a break...they are HIGH SCHOOL KIDS!!! Now, when you start paying their high $$$ salaries, you will have earned the right to respond as you respond. :

The Mustangs let a lead slip away, but going into the 4th quarter, the momentum was definitely in Jasper's favor as they made a dunk and had a miraculous shot from 3/4 court (that didn't count) as the buzzer sounded ending the 3rd quarter. There were mistakes made, but overall, the Mustangs were behind and pulled themselves together to win by 11. Guess all the discipline problems self-corrected themselves!!! Go Mustangs and Coach McCarter!!! ;D

You know, when things are not looking too good...everyone wants to blame the coaches. McCarter expects his players to be disciplined and I can say that I have agreed with his calls to bench whoever it is. I don't know what other coaches do and personally, don't care because it doesn't affect the Mustangs, but just because players are good doesn't mean that they should not be held accountable when they are not playing team ball. I do appreciate the fact that so many of our district foes are so concerned about our "discipline" problems. Your concern means that you think of us often!!!

Appauling officiating! Lady Mustangs couldn't get it together. 3 starters fouled out while 4 others played with 4 fouls. No, officiating didn't cost the game..lack of made free throws did. I'll give #32 her props, but she can't hang with B.Scott. Fans...learn to win gracefully. When an opposing TEENAGE GIRL is awaiting official word from the scorer's table that she has 5 fouls...there is not need to yell at a CHILD/YOUNG GIRL "yeah, that's 5...get off the court". I understand that it was a huge boost in confidence for your team...just realize that there is a certain level of grace and class that goes with winning and losing.

Earl Thomas does not dictate wins or losses for WO-S, although it hurt us, I am sure. Just wasn't a good game for WO-S. Looks like lcm was the better team that particular night. Not a terribly big deal. Non-district game. Rankings mean squat. Accept and move on!!!

WO-S vs. Silsbee was a nail-biter and wasn't decided until the last seconds. Great game and great atmosphere!!!

Dustin Locks from WO-S. His numbers are proof. Again, another vital member of the Mustang Chain Gang defense. No one in this area proved otherwise.

Seth Thomas from WO-S. As part of the Mustang Chain Gang...the only team to surmount them was Giddings, so I would think that would speak for itself. Being undefeated against all other teams besides Giddings...have to go with any and all members of the Chain Gang!!!
