It is already a done deal this was decided last year. I think it is ok...I hate losing the Regional Qualifier Meet, but having 4his qualify to area is a good thing.
Why would there be a need to "lose" the Regional Qualifiers Meet? This is already in place at the 1A level...The Regional Qualifier Meets that I'm aware of take place between Area and Regionals. Woodlands, Kountze, Port Arthur....etc -
This makes 3 'Ships in a row (Spring, Pasadena, Beaumont), taking the top sport in 2 of the 3. Excellent work. Congrats Good luck in Shreveport, should face a different crowd of North La, Ark, and North Texas.

However, on the league football forum, and others it happens all the time. Heck on the political forum the POTUS get hammered (not that I mind) it just seems to be a double standard on the "softball" forum. I know you and other admins read or patrol most if not all the forums....why are some allowed extremism and others are so sensitive. Perhaps because "softball" is dealing predominately with girls?
If anyone sees a post that seems out of line, use the link at the bottom on the post, "Report to Moderator". Then explain why you or anyone else believes that it is a violation. It will be sent in an email to the mods and it will be looked at. If the moderator feels there is a violation, it will be changed and a warning sent. With thousands of posts a day, many simply are not viewed or just glanced over by the staff. Many of the warning and that are issued start with a notification from a forum member and some result in the violator being banned from the site. As far as the POTUS or other national figures, I don't think they are considered in the rules of no coach/person bashing. If someone wants to dog out the coach of LSU for stupid play calling or saying that he needs to be fired, so be it. Saying the same thing about a local coach or player is not in the same equation, in my opinion. If you start saying that the coach of the XXX HS is stupid and needs to be fired, you are going to be warned, likely have your post deleted and eventually banned if the posts continue.
Fair enough, however not likely I "report" as I am NOT that sensitive. rule 15 15) Please do not post unsubstantiated rumors, suspicions or slanderous comments about anyone - this includes non-members of the forums. If statements are factual then they are permitted as long as they can be supported, whether it's a local coach or not...true or not true? You even gave a long speech as to "opinion" and it's worth, whether it can be supported with facts or just a "plain unsupported opinion" as compared to a "fact based opinion"..... So another question........we obviously can't have "opinions" of local coaches, and or anything that is written in rule 18?

So ill ask the question more precisely....maybe this will get more attention. Should I say Coach Adkins with Orange Crush why do you play favorites to kids in Orange Co.... Keep in mind I am in no way discussing a high school softball program....strictly concerning select softball.....or yet another question Coach Adkins..of Orange Crush....why do you deceive the public with your "open practice" tactics.....yet another Coach Adkins of Orange Crush....do you do all your business dealing with kids in this same deceitful way......
Maybe rules 15 and 18 will answer your questions. 15) Please do not post unsubstantiated rumors, suspicions or slanderous comments about anyone - this includes non-members of the forums. 18 ) The bashing of any particular coach, player, referee, etc will not be tolerated. This includes issues involving their personal lives, coaching/playing style or performance, past experiences, etc. You appear to be making some kind of distinction on what kind of softball a coach is involved in. It is like there is a difference between bashing a local little league coach or a high school coach where one is acceptable and the other is not. I did not see such a distinction in the rules and do not believe any was intended. Bashing of local coaches, players, refs, etc., is bashing and which particular league the person is in is of no consequence as far as the rules apply.
thank you for your response, and you are correct. Bottom line, by the rules as you stated ANY time anyone "bashes" ME, they break the rules (not that I care or am that sensitive) but they aren't reprimanded. So...why not consider a slight change in the rules to say...if it's true, and it can be supported with FACTS then it is allowed. If said person or coach doesn't want those FACTS told of them, then don't feed the fire....by giving others something to talk about.....and if you do (me included) then take it like a man/woman.....after all it is supported with facts. The whole "fact" thing seems to be the big deal on the political forum....so why not on all others. ps...the reason I made a distinction between what kind of coach, is because of a comment left by an admin. in response to me about not referring to a local high school coach. SO. I "assumed" (yes my bad) that that was the determining factor.

What happens when the no bashing a "high school coach" rule becomes a conflict of interest by coaching a select team....should I be more specific in calling out the coach in their "select coaching capacity" and their potential bias approach.

John Woodard Warrens New Head Coach

Seems very confident , motivated, and happy to be here. Concept that he is bringing to Warren is exactly what Warren needs. He is leaving a pre-season #1 in Ganado to come to Warren . Please meet the man, ask questions, and then see what you think.
Warren had a similar situation in the mid 80's with a coach that originated at Barbers Hill (state championship years), played at UT....great man, great coach...he ran strict hard nose practices....problem was....to many "locals" felt their "boy" was the save all athlete and should this or should that....anyhow...locals put undue pressure and false allegations against his wife, forcing them out.....lets just say...it's easy to SAY you want change, or want to be good...etc....etc....a whole different ball game to walk the walk the walk and DO what it takes for that to happen.
i don't remember all that was involved off the field with Brazell but I agree he was a good man...I remember after the first week of two-a-days looking up and seeing alot less people than we started with! LOL! We were in the best shape of our lives! It's important to note that Warren had two "hardnosed" coaches prior to Brazell that were successful and had the town's support in Coach Powell and Coach Bruce Taylor...however it had slipped the two years under Moye before Brazell arrived...Warren has supported it's teams through some awful years and is looking for someone to lead them to respectibility....I don't think it's an issue of "buying in" to a coach but more of what the coach has to work with as compared to Newton, East Chambers and Anahuac....IMO...
99% agree, not sure of Powell and Taylor (moved in fall of 82 - left in 85)....but yes everything else I lived to tell about. However, I do feel the players need to buy into a coaches program...with or without talent....it makes a good team better and a not so good team...well...not as bad as it would be. -

Applicants for Warren High school AD/HC

Williams was interviewed as well as Woodard, a coach from Vidor, a coach from Lumberton, and an ex-coach from West Hardin. More than the supt was on the interview team. Woodard might have interviewed the best. Union Hill record for the two years after Woodard left was only four wins as well. Sounds like it was not neccessarily coaching. If Woodard is named, lets just please support him.
I didn't realize there was a hiring team put together....who was on the team? I agree with you though... regardless he was hired so now it's time to support him and hopefully he is the one to get us to where we all want to be....competitive!
Support is always a good thing....coupled with reality.....Warren is not loaded with talent year in and year out...in fact...more years of NOT....It will be hard to expect any AD/HC to win consistantly....Been there, been a part of it.... Good Luck Warren Warriors, Class of '85
