  1. Would you say what you wrote in front of the people that's involved in the message? If so, type away. If not, don't post it.

That's a good point.      What about difference of opinion between posters and/or moderator that are posting to each other

the moderator should take it behind close doors ie PM. if it's a forum rule question. If it's about sports the moderator has every right to voice his or her opinion.

This subject was discussed between other moderators (behind the scenes) it was determined that MULTIPLE warnings had been issued (behind the scenes) without much success. It was discussed whether or not it would be a good idea to make it public since "behind the scenes" obviously wasn't working. The moderators (yes with an S, meaning multiple) involved decided to go with a public warning. Several other moderators have voiced their opinion about the on going violations, I chose to be the one to take action, had the same decision been made by certain other moderators, this wouldn't even be a topic!

I've been accused of baiting, setting him up, calling him out, etc, etc...........mind you, until a week ago, I have not posted on this site for nearly 6 months, I'm NOT the problem.......the problems were still here even without MY presence.

Besides that, look at the majority of the posters on this thread (besides moderators) same old people whinning about one of their own getting scolded........why?

If it makes any of you feel better, I have also receive a warning - a phone call the OWNER back during the HEAVY disagreements a year or so ago.

    LOOK AT THE COMMON DENOMINATOR!

  2. I am issuing the final warning publically due to the following reasons:

    1) you have received multiple warnings from other moderators - via PM's

    2) you have been warned publically several times by other moderators

    3) your behavior is a common topic on the moderator discussion board

    4) Announcers (Administrators) will not broadcast softball games more often due to "people like that" as they have stated

ZERO TOLERANCE will be used from this point forward, if you choose to break forum rules you will be banned permantely.

    More specifically:

    1) Belittle anyone or team to promote anyone or team

    2) Bash or criticize anyone

    3) Become confrontational with anyone due to disagreement with your agenda

    4) Hijacking of threads

All that aside ,the moderators not you decide this!

  6. Another fantastic accomplishment, but it doesn't mean much unless we bring the hardware back home to Sour Lake.

I wish you would go to the Softball board and tell those people that.......I'm blue in the face........they think being ranked all year and winning 70 straight district games and never losing a district game while in 3A is the end all! ::)

I guess it's all in what you expect of yourselves.........Congrats HJ......but there is another team I'd rather bring home he hardware, but if we don't or can't.......I'd be proud of you guys representing 21-3A and Harding County!

  7. The refs were bad... so what?  They made bad calls both ways.  I've heard griping about a discrepancy in the foul count, and how HJ shot more freethrows.  OF chose to slow the ball down and play a very conservative and slow-moving offense.  The advantage of this: it keeps the score low, and keeps the hawks from running.  The disadvantage: fewer freethrows.  I promise you if OF had decided to play at the type of pace the hawks wanted to play, the bobcats would've been to the line much more.  Of course, they probably would've lost by 20.  I say congrats to the Bobcats coaching staff for finding a gameplan that worked and sticking with it.  Being even slightly critical of a coaching staff which led their team to a 2-point loss to the defending state champions (and with a shot to win it at the end, no less) seems pretty silly.  I think it's also silly to use the refs as excuses.  When the hawk fans did it earlier in the year, they caught tons of grief for it, and by all accounts the officiating there was much worse than in this game.  There is no reason for it be excusable now for OF fans to blame the refs.  You had your chance to win, and didn't get it done, but you made a dang fine run at it.  Be proud of the result, and of your boys, and quit looking for people to blame for the loss.  You got beat by a better team, but you sure made things interesting!

    Amen Brother! Great Post!

  8. 98-46, boy it was nip and tuck all the way, huh HJ fans. ;D

Like I said, Jasper is who we thought they were. They don't match up against Silsbee. PERIOD!!

Now, as for Orangefield, that's a different story. A little worried about that one.

I know it was a 2 point win in the Tiger Den........however, I still feel like Silsbee has more to offer, I think Silsbee steps it up in a game that SHOULD guarantee a district championship followed by a 1 game playoff with HJ for seeding. Silsbee again.........by as many as they want! I think Silsbee underestimated OF and allowed THEM to control the tempo.......won't happen again! The Tigers are hungry!

  9. O.K. I get it now. All I needed was for you to spell it out for me. I should have taken your wisdom from the beginning. My fault on that one. Now lets see if I got it! I'm a HJ fan, not Jasper. So your wrong on that!! Now, I saw HJ beat Silsbee at HJ by 18. Then Silsbee beats HJ at Silsbee by 2 and HJ had no Burrell. So, by your standards of predictions if HJ gets Burrell back there is no way a Silsbee fan could predict Silsbee to win against HJ on a neutral court. It would be predicting who you wanted to win and not who should win, Right? It would be considered a upset. And you already know the definition of UPSET.

Then my ONLY mistake (YOU are from HJ)........I was speaking of Jasper, if you read back......I put Silsbee and HJ in the same league, I think anyone that views sports unbiasly will agree Silsbee and HJ are fairly evenly matched (yes HJ has the edge, ya'll have proved that, dating back to last year). But on that note.......YOU keep saying with Burrell.......fair enough, I really hope both are healthy on the neutral court. I feel HJ has to be the favorite, however IF Silsbee wins, it would be a slight upset, yes.

Now with all of that said.....This is a SILSBEE -v- JASPER thread........and I stand by everything I've already said.......SILSBEE WINS! (by as much as they want to win by) if not it will be a HUGE upset!

    I REPEAT!
