I haven't posted in awhile but Central wins if they limit their turnovers to less than 2 this game, I beleive most of the games they lost this year were because of turnovers. I hope the weather is bad because Central is a lot better bad weather team. I guess if you can play in Hurricanes, Floods, and Freezing Rain in an outdoor stadium on grass, everything after that is Easy ! But the reason I'm posting is I've got to ask BmtSoulja this, how long do ya'll think you'll keep Coach Washington ? Heck, all Coaches say they aren't  leaving but unless you are the only game town, (WO-S, Newton, Kirbyville) and do not have to compete with others schools for players, equipment, and stadiums (Ozen, West Brook) other schools can offer the bigger money, title (AD), etc. than Central. Was he the OC or DC last year ? Because if he is the DC, Central always has a tuff Defense Year In and Year Out. I'm sure other schools are already looking at Coach Washington ?

I saw the TE from Kilgore Lamar was trying to get, they need to try again ! Kilgore is having a real bad year but that TE from Kirbyville is a Monster ! Blocks, linebackers can't cover him and DB are usually too short, runs great routes and can run after the catch. They also have a QB from Deer Park we should look at, 6' 01" 200 lbs., real smart kid, tough as a two dollar steak, can run. doesn't lock on to receivers and can throw on the run. So your wondering why Kilgore ain't winning ? Defense gives up 40 + a game.

Although I think nominating players is a good idea, there are still games being played Saturday and I'm sure some of the players on those teams should be considered.

Lake Travis will win but not as much as ya'll think, Killeen got on a roll in the playoffs, Lake Travis and Killen are in the same district so that's why Lake Travis crushed them, that and the fact the QB is one of the best in the state. This game will be won on the line of scrimmage, Lake Travis is BIG !!! Gilbert gets plenty of time and huge running lanes. But Lake Travis defense has problems with speed teams. Why are they playing in Grand Prairie ? Midlothian, Texas, has a brand new 10 million dollar stadium which they could use or there is Leo Buckley stadium in Killeen, or Temple's stadium. All three of these stadium are a lot newer nicer and easier to get to. Midlothian is only 10 miles from Grand Prairie on 287/67 !

Predictions ? I can assure you FW Nolan is already making hotel reservations in Austin for St. Michaels. I live in the DFW area, and Nolan looks at Kelly's record and roster (23 to 47) and beleives this is a tune up game for St. Michaels, FW Nolan SS Boudreax has 21 career interceptoions, QB Ratliff 1,800 yds 15 TDS, and RB Hernandez 1100 Yards.

It appears Coach Matthews has a lot more class than others, from the posts, it looks like he called of the dogs after the first half at 28-0. Congrats Pirates

Predictions ? I'm picking Kelly by 13, it's Homecoming and Kelly hasn't had any breaks this year, they are due.

I've said it before and now I see others are saying it ! Vidor only loses 2 fumbles, they win , more than 3 game is close, 4 or more they lose, Heck it's how they loss both games so far but also how they won games so far You would think by now Vidor would have solved this fumbling problem

Pitch intercepted and ran in for a TD by St Pius DE , then Kelly Defense stops a 4th and one, get the ball back, fumbles two plays later St. Pius kicks FG. That was 11 of the points. Defense on field most of the second half. Like I said on other posts, turnovers usually determines tight games.

If Vidor can limit themselves to just two turnovers, they win by 10, three or more, it will be close. Vidor is two dollar steak tuff but cannot keep fumbling like they do.

If this is true the Abilene coach is either a sinker or a floater because that is running the score up big time. Seriously no class, just call the same play in the fourth quarter over and over again.

OK AggiesAreWe and STiger85, after seeing rhe game on Channel 18, Your Opinion on the Skinner versus # 50 Kelly matchup, I didn't see too many double teams but saw Skinner make two Whoa plays but noy his usual

If Vidor can limit the turnovers, I think they can win. But they haven't stopped fumbling since the Kelly game. Now, everybody will be playing to strip the ball from the Pirates. Wiill be a Good game though.

You can only play with the kids coming out to play football. You can't make them bigger, faster, or stronger as the year goes on. I cringe when a head coach gets slammed for his assistants, Most of the assistants are there when the coach arrives. Stump at WB got to pick his Def Cordinator and Off Cordinator, that's it.

High scoring game, but not in the 40's. Once again, turnovers win this game. I haven't seen Jasper, but like last Friday, Silsbee's Kicker can make a 30 yard field goal and that might be the difference.

Stars of the game, both Kelly and Silsbee, offense and defense ?

Like I said on another post , special teams and turnovers. Silsbee QB Johnson is fast and Quick, really a one man team ! He was all they said he was. Like trying to catch water ! Think I saw a Rice Recruiter there looking at Skinner, Boy was man handled all night by Kelly's Tackle, # 50, maybe made 2, at most 3 whoa plays. No sacks , one tackle for loss.

Vidor by 14, their offense is like novocaine, it will slowly numb you, then bang!!! they rip off long runs, like pulling a tooth.

I know Kelly had at least 2 starting OL/DL out with injuries, and they only had about 25 players on the roster to start the year. Should be allright once they heal up I think.

Congrats Vidor, Good Game. St.Thomas threw 35 times in their opener, so be aware.

Kelly has around 490 students, hard pressed to say 3A, probably 2A. In TAPPS, the top division is 480 to 1400. There is no Division I or II.
