  1. Great fight for the fighters and the fans finally to watch. We will see what Forrest has against one of the best fighters out there. I would love to see Silva fight the 205 champ whoever it is and have two titles, also the talk of Bisping fighting him is interesting.
  2. I know that he looks like a neanderthal but Chuck is pretty darn smart. I think that he sees the telltale signs of age. Fighters are younger and quicker and stronger than he is. I respect the heck out of him but he needs to step down gracefully.
  3. I think that if this fight does ever happen that Silva wins it, but only he fights like he can and not how he has the last couple. I think he is too much for GSP when both are at the top of their games.
  4. I don't get the impression from Chuck that he will go to another organization. In his mind I think he feels the UFC is the best place for fighters and if he can't compete there then he should hang it up. I have seen where he says that money is not an issue for him and he is secure on that front so maybe he will retire and start coaching younger fighters. Start announcing or something. I would hate to see him go to Strikeforce or somewhere and fight, just would not seem right. Or as I have been before I could be off base and he moves on to another place like SF or Affliction.
  5. Yeah but what about the fact that this is his job and keeping the belt should be more than enough of a challenge for Silva. He is a bad man, no doubt, but maybe getting a little complacent? I think that right now he is the best in that division and could be in 205 if he stepped up. Maybe he should, because I feel if you are a true fighter it is not about the belt but about being the best. Maybe he is bored because in his mind he is the best in 186 and noone can beat him so he should move up. Go look for the challenge to motivate yourself!! Glad I cancelled my ppv party.
  6. Didn't he get injured or something? I see him doing tv stuff on Spike but have not seen him on any lineups.
  7. Yeah, I can't wait to see him play on Saturdays.
  8. I do remember part of the story line of the show being that Taylor left to take a college assistant spot and then when the coach the school hired rubbed the booster dude that loved Taylor so much the wrong way the guy was canned and Taylor came sliding back in. Kind of seems fitting as the same thing kind of was done to his character in the finale. Like the what comes around goes around message there. I mean the show makes it seem like that Taylor is this great guy who is getting done a raw deal but his character helped stab another guy in the back to get his old job back, so why all of a sudden is he suprised that the same board who allowed him to move back in ran him out for the next big thing? Can't wait to see how this plays out in the next season.
  9. Can't wait until that one. Three very good fights, now if noone gets hurt before then it will be a great night.
  10. Faber definitely needs to come on in after he fights next. I would not wait much longer but he seems to think he has plenty of years left, heck I was suprised to see that he was 30 already. He looks very youthful for his age.
  11. You got make a living somehow I guess. I will guess that we will not be hearing from him on any major show though. I think that MMA is getting pretty big and most guys want to get in while the iron is hot and not wait too much longer. Plus he will bring in some of his fans with him I suppose.
  12. That is a good card. Hey I read recently that Uriah (sp?) Faber has said that after he wins back the belt he wants to drop to 135 win that belt and then go up 20 pounds and go to the UFC and take on Penn whom he says he can beat for that belt as well. Opinions?
  13. That is totally awesome. I love Lashley and have always thought he could be very good. This could be only a good thing for his MMA career.
  14. Not from the area so I can't really comment, but that has not stopped me in the past so here goes. It sounds like this guy is just like a lot of people who don't want to accept the fact that the amount of wins and losses most coaches have are more of a reflection on the gene pool instead of the coaching abilties. Vince Lombardi would not have been successful in Tarkington from what I have seen of them in the last decade or two.
  15. As if BJ did not already have enough of us thinking he is a punk little girl, now his mommy is coming to his defense. Seriously, Dana White (although I don't think he is reading our forum) please put them together again and have a camera on each fighter's corner at all time with a seperate official looking at it to make sure that the vaseline is put on according to regs. Then let George beat his rear end again.
  16. I do understand how both Mask and Skyskrape and their "personas" can come off as kind of childish and WWE. But if you actually watch them and listen to them speak to the fighters and what their feelings were about the company itself then you get a taste of what they are really like. I think that more than anything else the fact that they will seek out and look for new fighters to sponsor to help the sport to grow is a great thing.
  17. I wonder how many of these guys are on stuff, do you guys think that it is like the other sports and that they are on stuff that the tests are not catching yet, except for Ken "I should have retired after the second Tito fight" Shamrock. I mean I like Lashley, but also know that 99% of the people in the world can not get that big naturally. I mean look at Lesnar, he had to cut from near 300 to make 265 in his first UFC fight. Now he looks about 280 prefight, and is noticeably smaller than when he rassled.
  18. I know he lost the last time they fought but I will take Florian in the rematch if it happens, plus as I have stated I can't stand BJ Penn at all.
  19. Same here, looks like Coleman signed a contract but did not deliver the goods so Dana is throwing him into the ring with younger and faster and much more in shape guys. Bonnar has disappointed me lately also.
  20. Very sad to hear. I am a big fan of the guys of TAPOUT.
  21. That makes sense, but even as late as this morning the UFC site was still posting Evans.Jackson but now it is not even posting that fight on the main page as they have no fighter yet. Machida will be a good fight for Evans as well though.
  22. I was really looking forward to the Mir fight, and am still waiting with breathless anticipation for Hughes to break Serra's face, but at least now we get Evans defending the title against Rampage sooner than later!
  23. I always thought he would be a good fit for MMA, but I hope he does not go back to rasslin, but it would be hard to turn down a guaranteed paycheck versus the small potatoes the guys get until the big time in MMA. Especially after being a fairly highly paid guy in the WWE before.
  24. I look for Junie to lose to Cole Miller. But I like Condit, Esucadero and Bader to win theirs. I agree with the rest of Joharr's picks on the non televised fights too. So I am copying his picks except for Junie, mostly because he is a dickweed and I can't stand him.
  25. Dude is strong as a bull and will proabably make a good name for himself. Loved that he knocked Gonzaga out so quickly.
