Yes, these days. Newton beat them 3 years ago but they've been a bit down for last couple of years and WOS continues to dominate. And Silsbee is way behind WOS.

Score?

WOS by 50 if they want. But will prob be more like 42 -14 with WOS respecting Silsbee for their homecoming. Wouldn't mind seeing a Newton vs WOS game this year. But I'm not even sure if Newton is on the same level with WOS these days .

If i remember correctly BC beat Newton that year 32-7.

Being a Newton fan, I have always been confused as to why Newton doesn't play a stronger pre-district schedule. There for a couple of years we played an outside team (Tatum) and that was nice to see but besides that its always seemed to be weaker big schools. I have heard that when Coach Barbay was alive, teams would turn him down when he asked about playing for fear of being beat by a small school . Anyone have any insight on this? Just wish we didn't play the same ole schools every year. Regardless , still an Eagle fan.

Man what happened? Iola been holdin out or did HD not show up? Is Evadale district champs?

If Daisetta loses tonight is it a three way tie between Evadale, Iola and HD? How does the playoffs match up in that type of scenario? Who goes 1,2 & 3? Thanks in advance. I've been intrigued by this HD team this year especially after going 2-8 last season. I see them going to the 2n may to the third rd this year.

I can see Woodville going a couple rounds in the playoffs this year. I also think Liberty could be a good first round team. I'll say Woodville takes it by 6 points. Main thing is to stay healthy.

Newton by 30 if they want! No offense BC! Not worried about players being out. Newton has kids in 8th grade that would start on most varsity teams in this area if it were allowed! Not sure what they put in those kids food but they are fast and strong!

Daisetta will be a playoff team this year I predict! Kountze may not be the team to judge rather or not a team is a playoff team but compare to last year Daisetta seems to be heading in the right direction

Lol! Compared to last year when they only won 2 games the entire year ,this is pretty good. Even though Kountze is no powerhouse , if they can win that next week I believe they will turn a few heads.
