Do yall think the team that loses this game will be affected in the playoffs by the loss? I've tried think, if Newton loses will it be a huge motivator or a huge blow. Go Eagles

I hope your right scooter on this one. For the first time ever I am a bit nervous about playin K Ville . I'm by no means putting my boys down. I'm a newton fan all the way but I watched the K Ville highlights last night and their really fast. Our boys have got to play smart and very physical. They have to punch the wilcats in the mouth from the 1st play of the game. They cannot give the wildcats any room at all to breathe. This is not the same K Ville team in recent yrs. Coach Alverez has done a great job with the K Ville program. I agree with you though Newton wins 41-32. The team that does not turn the ball over will win. Go Eagles

K Ville better not score 56 pts on us. Like I said in previous posts if Newton can play all 4 Quaters, they should win. I will say that I can see a high scoring game but no where near 56 pts by either team. Newton wins this one 41-32

I went and checked SLOYDJT on when HF last made the playoffs because i'm a crazy stat person. They last went in 03 and were beat by Barbers Hill 13-10. They went in 01 and Newton beat them 45-0. I have no idea why i just posted all this but there u go. lol

This game will be a playoff like feel for both squads. Since Newton will be going in the playoffs as a small school, this will be a great challenge for them playing the #1 team in the state. I sure hope our eagles pull it out. Regardless its going to be a dog fight from kickoff and until the last sec clicks off the clock. Go Eagles

I see Jasper as a very good 2nd rd team in the playoffs. They should beat Rusk this week and that will seal up their playoff spot. When Jasper almost beat K Ville, I knew they had a special group of guys. They have just got off track a bit this yr. I will never forget the 03 season when Newton played K Ville. It was my senior yr at Newton and I could not believe my ears when i heard K Ville was up at HT. Boy was I glad when they pulled out that game. Newton ended up getting beat in the 2nd rd 37-7 by Marlin but just knowing we beat K Ville made it all better. I hope this yr is no different. I am a Newton fan all the way and I hope we make it to state. I do realize though that we are probably a legit 3rd rd team this yr. I see West Brook going the furthest if they play like they have been. Go Eagles

I'm from Newton but I'm in Abilene now and the stadium here is unbelievable. I doubt a game could ever be played this far out but it would be nice.

I'm talking no trash when I say this but Buna will not go pass the 2nd rd this yr. Newton will at least make the 3rd or 4th rd. I know the 4th rd is a long stretch but all i can do is hope for a state championship. Go Eagles

Newton wins this by 2 tds if they will play all 4 quarters. That's what happend to the eagles in the diboll game. They had a good size lead but just seemed to give it up toward the end. This game will be very emotional as well. The eagles for the 1st time in a few yrs are not ranked in the top 25 and they have a statement to make against the #1 team. K Ville at most is ranked #5 or 6 in the state in my opinion. Go Eagles (Newton wins this one 35-21)
