  1. Sorry Lions, the Raiders are healthy and ready for rumbles. L-town's beast is coming for a feast while the rest of the D will be pickin up fumbles!
  2. Sports guy: I appreciate that. It was a good game and I think both teams have room for improvement. I think it was obvious that Lumberton's defensive strategy was determined by Silsbee's previous game films. I know our guys were tired after chasing JJ around all night. Lumberton also has a group of Sophs playing that are starting to impress. Good luck to Silsbee in district play. Does your district take 4 teams to the playoffs?
  3. He's gaining confidence, it's a big exciting jump from JV. He's working real hard and I think he'll do fine.
  4. Thanks Frito, wins impress me! I would never call out an "im-poster"
  5. Well the frito bandito should look at the stats that tell the real story for Silsbee - minus 42 yards rushing for the whole game - incredible. What would have impressed you?? Minus 100? Frito has got no credibility with this or other posts. Anthony was all over the field and everyone knows that. It's easy to get stirred up when people make such inaccurate comments. I appreciate opinions, but maybe frito is a blonde?? :o
  6. Smitty: Are you getting your stats from ipreps? I noticed in Ipreps that some of the stats are incorrect. For example; Lumberton RB Asher's rushing yards - season total is incorrect, they do not include last weeks yards. The scoring summary is incorrect. Lumberton's Mark Purks was listed for a TD and he didn't even dress out. The PNG/Crosby game stats have or did have errors. Silsbee's stats in Ipreps for last week were different from Aggies Are We. The majority of the Iprep stats may be close, but the inaccuracies I know about do create a doubt in my mind about all the stats in Ipreps. I will say this, the Bmt Enterprise was good about correcting the inaccurate stats I reported.
  7. I saw one of the stations advertising the Lumberton-Silsbee game would be televised and it was their game of the week. I don't remember which station though.
  8. Ryan Hughes against Barbers Hill. Passing: 8/19 for 127 yds Rushing: 18 for 122 yds and 1 TD
  9. ok I'm poking a little at the schedule, but you can't tell me Kelly and St. Thomas are anywhere close to Barbers Hill or Crosby. With that said, I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing going into district after playing an easy schedule. Vidor is probably not banged up. We know playing better teams will make a team better than if they played subpar teams. I think that's what everyone is implying with the previous posts.
  10. 1. Notre Dame 2. Vidor 3. Kelly 4. St. Thomas 5. Legacy ;D ;D ;D
  11. The BH game last night will help Lumberton prepare for Silsbee. The BH QB ran and passed well just like I expect Johnson to do. It may very well be another tight game where any mistake could make the difference in the outcome. Lumberton had no fumbles or interceptions against the Hill. The Lumberton defense stepped up big in the 2nd half against a very good BH and you have to credit Credeur in making the right adjustments. Beard will have his eye on JJ all night. What happened to the Silsbee RBs in the Diboll game? I was surprised they didn't do better.
  12. Exciting game last night from start to finish. Both QBs played well and I thought whoever had the ball last was gonna win. Credeur made good adjustments at halftime. Hope everyone is healthy. The Hill has my respect.
  13. Lumberton Ryan Hughes - Jr Mark Purks - Jr Keifer Scarbouro - Soph
  14. Where's the beef? In Vidor. Should be no problem. 8)
  15. Good game Broncos, way to start the season.
  16. I guess it would help if T Talk would have stayed on topic, because, I for one had no idea where he was coming from - sounded very disturbing. It appeared to me that someone was just trying to stir something up because I'm unaware of what he described. I'm not really convinced that T Talk is from L-town either. So let's drop it, if T talk wants to start a new thread on that subject then go for it. I won't be reading it.
  17. let's be positive, no need to stir it up on this thread or the two other threads you posted the same comment on. if you want to make a difference, run for office on the school board
  18. sorry we disappointed you t talk. you're the first hater I've heard. just curious, where are you from? come on man-up if your gonna talk trash
  19. liltex, bronco1 and the dude: Good comments by all, bottom line on scrimmages is someone will always try to make more than what it is. It's controlled and void of special team play. The L-town kickers and punters were way outperformed. We can't win if we get 6 and give up 7 everytime, or if we start deep in our own territory and opponents are always knocking on the door. We did't see any return game during the scrimmage so that another unknown. There were a lot of bright spots for both teams. I think both teams walk away proud, but knowing we both have work to do.
  20. dude: you're a good sport, and it was a good scrimmage for both.
  21. I want to hear comments from liltex, Bronco1 and Set_99.
  22. Wow, just got back from the game and it was a very good scrimmage for Lumberton. It seemed like L-town made the adjustments on both sides of the ball especially in the 2nd quarter. Both teams still need some work, but both looked very good at times. The passing game for Dayton wasn't quite there. I was glad to see the depth on Lumberton's defense. The L-town 2nd string defense played very well. Good luck to both teams in their openers.
  23. Why do I get the feeling the "jewel crown stadium of Liberty county" is in the DMZ.....
