Told couple Fat Kids 250 plus pounders ,from the JV moved up this week, don't know how they will be used? They are still Puppies.

This will be a good game for Tigers to see how they will do with the better teams in the playoffs. Tigers weakness is size with OL and DL. Tigers two guards and center average 185 lbs on a good day. Kids are experienced but small, same with DL. Teams like Jasper, Bellville, and especially Carthage , might be hard to handle? Only time will tell?

There were no flags on either play, Silsbee Receiver was taken to Hospital with concussion, Jasper QB was taken out of the game, not sure on his injury? But I do know the Silsbee kid that made the hit was punished and made to sit out the next game, which was homecoming against WOS. He also never did this type of infraction again, and was a big part of the road to the SEMIS in 2018. The worst part of this story to me was, Jasper coach sending video to BMT news , with kids name, before Silsbee coach had time to deal with it.

Boy La Marque really put a kink in it, This district could go all which a ways. lol Gonna be a mad scramble looking for fields, for first round of playoffs. Most people dont know this, but these Venues wont book a field unless all teams that can possibly play will sign on.

There may be some Chippiness in this game, but what you wont have is the Racist, Racial component that has gone on from apposing fans and players, from couple other teams. Last Friday night was bad. A 17 / 18 yr old kid can only take so much. Several of these Communities in this area were founded by Segregationist ideals, and we can argue all day as to the justification for it? But it carries over into these young kids on the field today , without us maybe realizing it. The un sportsmen like conduct penalties have been due to retaliation , and the kids are punished for it during the following week. This group of Young men from Silsbee, are exceptional students, and handle themselves well in and out of the class room. Most have supporting hard working parents. These kids are highly competitive , and most are three year starters. These kids do a lot of Football related things on their own, such as Team meetings, film work, weight room, and extra drills. Silsbee has one of the toughest spring off seasons, and Boot Camp allowed in High School, go observe if you don't believe it. Tigers might not win this week, or go to Dallas, but they are 9 and 0 ,for a reason, and it's not just because they have several kids that can run and catch.

Cheer leaders and media people better get out of the way, might get run over. lol

It's a puzzle, where all the right pieces have to fit, especially for deep playoff runs. IMO when a team is in an area with talent, and having to compete with other schools that are loaded with athletes, like here in SETX, Coaching starts to matter a bit more, on your % scale some have used.

Tigers HC , having Achilles surgery today, blew it out in second half against HF. Be surprised if you see him on the sidelines anytime for the rest of the season ? My guess as to what kind of impact that has on this team, as they make a run in the playoffs?

This might be closer than people think ? BC al lot better, good up front , both sides of the ball, and kids play extremely hard. I look for Tigers to have a let down after big game, and several players banged up, some might not play much if any? HC got injured on the sideline, so there having to deal with that. All Rumors at this time, but maybe Details later in the week.

Looks like if Seally can win out, which is possible, they prob the 4th seed? if I'm figuring correctly?

Imagine if they had not lost # 32, and #33, both would be All State Line Backers.

Back to the Topic: I was told, HF is loaded with speed, good size in the trenches, and all very well coached. They do a lot of different stuff. This is the fastest team in the District, believe it or not, Tigers prob rank 4th, if you base it on Track results? Now if you make the ball round, and put a net on the goal, Silsbee wins easily, but otherwise, this game is a Toss Up. IMO

I think schedule toughness can wear a team down a bit, not just physically , but mentally. I think thats why Cuero got handled by Wimberly in Semis. Wimberly had a weaker route. As far as Silsbee goes, last year the bulk of the team was Juniors, This year it"s a senior based team, and that will help with the mental toughness, and limit some of the mistakes made in that Cuero game. Not sure about Cuero game plan and adjustments, it did go 3 Overtime rounds. And they would still be playing, if on the last play of the game, Silsbee ran a bootleg, Fullback was primary receiver, Cuero Linebacker was holding him ( Tackled) So QB threw to Miller, in the back of the End Zone. As many times as they ran that play, never had to throw to secondary receiver, Miller not expecting it, had not timed his route correctly , and was already out of space, went Incomplete game over. Things that didn't go well for Tigers in NRG, Hotter Temp for that time of year, and the narrow goal posts, and the bands in the end zone . ( created noise problems for Offense) So I was told by a very good source, that you will not see Silsbee in NRG again.

I'll let you know after Friday night. To be fair I've only seen a few highlights of Cuero, but was told Giddings was able to move the ball on them, and it took a bit for them to put Giddings away. never know the pasture of Pain may put a kink in it. lol

If Silsbee beats HF, Jasper will still have a shot at the # 1 seed, depending on the Math, of the three way tie breaker. At least that will make that final week interesting? all depends on this week though?

This will be the first of two games with HF on the road to Dallas. IMO

I was told early on in the process, that CT had recommended HH for the job. Reason being, He thought it would be the least negative impact to the program. It was also thought that most of the current staff would stay , at least for a couple of years. I would think , they felt like they were getting the best of both worlds, A Black coach, and one that was not going to disrupt the status quo. But for some reason after He was hired , several Coaches either left or retired. So I'm guessing this is the reason for some of the changes, that people are un happy with? Don't know? As far as the amount of coaches that applied for the job, if someone remembers, I don't think this job was posted Statewide, as they already had their man. I was also told that Toby would never be hired, for the same reason he wasn't hired, back when CT was hired. I would just hope that when Parents and fans are around the kids, that they stay positive, and leave the negativity for after the season. Those kids can't help but absorb everything that's being said. The season is not over just yet.

WOS should win this one, but not sure exactly how they are dealing with all the negativity . A Jasper loss, and Tiger win this week, and at BC, will pretty much set the play off bracket .

I don't think Silsbee threw a pass after 1st QTR. Would have liked to see them work on some deep balls, to get ready for whats coming? There going to need to hit those if HF plays a lot of Man coverage. IMO the team that makes the fewer mistakes will win this one.

Can someone tell me, how Liberty has gotten this bad, especially on Offense ? And in the first half , there players in the pile, throwing fists, and kicking Silsbee players. A Silsbee Linebacker jumps in the group to separate players and pushes Liberty kid back, and Liberty kids helmet comes off, so Silsbee kid gets ejected, now he will sit out first half of the most important game of season this far. I 'm guessing Liberty powers to be wanted a change to a more conventual Offensive scheme, but now not only Competitive , but just really bad. There combined 9th/ JV was even worse. Will this HC come under fire, and will they opt for a change? And if so would this be a good opportunity for another Coach? Just Curious here?

Unless your a fly on the wall during Sunday game planning, and watching it implemented in every practice, 99.9% of people want have a clue , who is the best coached team, especially in a equally talented matched game. The question you should be asking about HF and Jasper, or any matchup for that matter is, Which team has the most and best Coachable Players. Now in an equally talented matchup , 99.9% of the time ,that team will win.

I got WOS, home field, Refs, and Homey operating the clock, if nothing else? HF gets first loss, and it goes down to the last week of the season, for Bellville to see who they get to play in the first round.
