Nash, you are absolutley correct, but Westend wanted to know what this would acomplish. What this will acomplish will be Boehner looking like a fool and a very poor leader. While I disagree with what Obama does, this move is unprecedented and makes Boehner and the GOP look weak. You can bet that is what the mainstream media will make of it. Another thing... Westend blames this on the fiscal conservatives. John Boehner is no such animal.

The answer should be simple, but it is not. I work for a company that has reduced my pension and eliminated it for new hires. While I understand this from a business perspective, you also have to look at this from a retirees point of view. Many of these employees spent the better part of a lifetime earning this pension. To give them anything less than what was promised is criminal.

Hippy, there will be a lot of threads locked down. There are a couple of posters here that refuse to honestly discuss anything. They choose to come into a thread, crap all over it, blame Bush, teabaggers or Republicans, holler racism, and smdh. Until this ceases, we will no longer have any meaningful discussions on the political forum. All these threads will be locked and the board owner may choose to shut down the forum. I hope not, but wouldn't blame him a bit.

Looking at the OSU schedule, M State is the only team that SHOULD beat them, even without Miller. I'm pulling for Nebraska or Wisconsin to win the Big 10 out of the Western Division

I hate to see any player hurt, but if Ohio State goes down the drain, it wont bother me a bit. While I cant knock Urban Myer, I'm not a fan. Personally, I'd like to see Michigan State beat them with Miller, but its not going to play out that way.

   Amen! I can see where in highly populated areas, you might need more equipment to handle a bigger crowd, like the example in Chicago that tvc stated. Does the Jefferson County Texas sherriffs dept need armored vehicles and helicopters?

Ole Miss and Arkansas will be much better this year. I hate making predictions, but will do it anyway for the sake of discussion. Bama will win the division by beating LSU in Death Valley. I dont see Bama going undefeated and it may be Ole Miss that trips them up. I see Auburn falling out of the mix after losing the Iron bowl. Alabama will beat Georgia for the SEC championship and will compete in the playoffs. I'd like to see two or more SEC teams in the playoffs and hope they are both from the SEC West. Thats enough fodder for now...
