1.
I was hoping atleast one of the many PNG supporters on this site would post something worth remarking about.  Guess they have finally given up on their indians.  OctFeb...How bout your husband does the yardwork and you and I watch old bronco game film with the lights down low?  Maybe we have a nice rendition of "The Horse" on repeat in the background.  I will even fix you a glass of purple kool aid to ease your nerves. It will be more fun than smiting AggiesAreWe, I promise. P.S.  The safe word is strawberries.
Tyrone, if smack talk on an internet forum put points on the scoreboard, y'all would beat us hand down. Heck, you and The Dude would be all-state! You get to verbally spar with a the BH fans all season. Your wit stays razor sharp. We trade barbs with Vidor and Lumberton fans, so well... Just kidding. I do enjoy these threads. I will be out of town and will miss this game. I'm predicting this will be the best game of the season. Y'all drive safe and dont cry all the way back to Dayton. There is always next year.
 2. Great thread. I've been missing the good Dayton posters since BH took them to the woodshed. Glad to see Dayton fans with a little of their swagger back. Even if it is just for a week...
 3. Congratulations to the Nederland Bulldogs. Going undefeated in 20-4A is tough to do. Now just go undefeated until the next MCM! Good luck in the playoffs. I do hope I'll be able to tag along and watch y'all get another W along the way.
 4.
How about i just end this thread with stating the obvious. BH will not play PNG because Vidor will not lose tomorrow night. There ya go. End of conversation lmao.
twocents, you said the same about Vidor beating PNG. We'll have to wait and see. You were worong then, but I do think you are right this time. Without Mayes. Livingston is not the same team. Good luck to Vidor tonight, and to Barbers Hill. I dont want to see Crosby mess up the win streak,
 5. Maybe y'all are just more patient than I am. Looking at other start-up programs, like South Alabama, and Lamar is not keeping pace. There are more and more empty seats at LU games. Interest is waning. Winning solves these problems. Embarrasing showings like this week cant help recruting or ticket sales, so how does it get better?
 6. I agree sports guy. They missed the wakeup call last season. This is more like "they are trying to make the bed while the house is burning" analogy. I am disapointed, and have no idea what it would take to right the ship. Lamar brought back football and the community got excited and involved. Cardinal Staduim was renovated and is a fine facility. There is just not a good product on the field and the blame has to go to the coaches. Either they are not recruiting quality players or they are not coaching worth a hoot. I personally believe it is the latter. Coach Woodard has some 'spalining to do.
 7.

I dont understand this thread png 90 percent wont even play bh and lets say they do. YOU HAVE NEVER EVER EVER BEAT US and it wouldnt happen this year either  Good Job On a GREAT Season but your time is coming soon I dont care who you play in 20-4a it will be your final game
We want PNG because we think we can beat PNG easier than the any of the other playoff teams in 20-4A ;D besides, we want some payback for last year. Call it revenge if you will >:(
is that a serious statement...easy victory?..i HOPE we play BH...and we will get to see all this garbage..."the hill is real" again..and bh will go home scratching there heads...saying"did that really just happen" we were undefeated and we got beat by PNG again"...i would think yall would finally realize that playing PNG is not an easy game...that just shows the lack of respect for our team...
I thought PNG quit playing football years ago?  Well, if you didn't and we play, then I say PNG get's their feathers plucked and the gay indian fails to dance on this one.  Here is a preview.  ]
C'mon Smoking Baby, you are better than this. How can you take a shot at our Indian mascot when y'all have a chicken-in-a-tutu costume for a mascot. Like you, I hope that we meet in the first round, but after reading all the know-it-alls on the board, it doesnt sound likely. Good to see BH having a great season and I really enjoy the pot stirring. Good luck in the playoffs.
 8. The Astrodome was remodeled, costing taxpayers about $60 million,  after Bud Adams tried to take the Oilers to Jacksonville Florida in the 1980s. When he fled to Tenn., the city (taxpayers) still owed 30 + million. I read somewhere where there is 22 million STILL owed on 'dome renovations. This is what gets me. Fans and taxpayers held hostage from teamowners wanting new toyboxes for their toys. I know this has gone on at every city that has a new stadium. I also know that it took the Oilers leaving to get the new baseball stadium and Reliant ant the Texans. That is how business is done these days. It just doesn't set very well with me. Another form of corporate welfare payed for by fans and taxpayers. Bud Adams might not be the only person to blame, but it starts with him. As far as the Astros go, I will wait to see how the change in ownership goes down before i get my hopes up.
 9. I'm afraid you are right hitman, but pray you are wrong. I'd love to see the Rangers redeem themselves tonight, leave St. Louis in tears, and see Ron Washington dance like his pants are on fire. We will know tonight...
 10.
Mcane is the worst owner in MLB and next to bud adams worst in Houston ever. He makes John Mcmullen look like the pope and needs to go Nothing but a carnval  barker and cant wait for Crane to take over. Look for Andrew Feldman from TB GM to come home and watch what happens. Crane will clean house and bye bye Ed Wade.
I've not forgiven McMullen for letting Nolan Ryan go. Butt Adams can go to hell or Tennesee. McLane's biggest fault is he ran the Astros like a 7-11. Selling an inferior product at an inflated price. I'm starting to lose any respect for Crane. He's getting the shaft and should have bowed up by now. I'll be happier fan when the Astros are sold and Ed Wade is drawing unemployment.
 11. Jim Crane has been remarkably patient with MLB. Not just the league move. After the scrutiny they put him through and to drag this sale out this long, I'm surprised he hasn't told them to stick it. He must want the Astros awfully bad.
 12. I've been an Astros fan since they began, but havent been to Minute Maid either. My choice. When the 'stros moved to then Enron, Drayton McLane slashed payroll and jacked up the price of everything from tickets to concessions. Lets just say I havent forgotten. If Jim Crane ever gets approved, I will may have to start making the trek to Houston again. Lets see what happens. As far as predictions go, I dont have my hopes up. Looking forward to some new faces though.
 13.
Vidor 31, PNG 24 in a close game. Vidor's defense again the difference in this one. I will be back in the United States for this game so please save me a ticket!!!!! From Siem Reap, Cambodia.
Wow! Coming from the other side of the world. Welcome home!
 14. I read about this yesterday. I'm glad he's collecting $125,000 for the NL pennant. I do hope the Rangers cover the house on the $250,000 ticket though...
 15. Nice post Coach!
 16.
i think it will be an old fashioned but whooping..png 38 vidor 14...and im looking forward to being called classless from another fan base
Cant predict the score, but dead on with the other prediction. With the game at the Reservation, I think PNG will win in a close contest. Of course, being a classless PNG fan, I'd say the same thing if the Indians were playing the Green Bay Packers.  ;D
 17.
GoDogs27, I was there too and you're right. But Nederland had him double covered all night and the front 4 had the QB on his heels. Probably the best Def that PNG saw all year.
Y'all are right. Nederland covered Nelson like a blanket that night and the PNG QB was running from the rush every snap. Certainly the best defense PNG has seen so far and maybe the best defense I've seen at Nederland. Not a good showcase night for Nelson. I've had the luxury to watch him the last couple of years playing baseball and football. I understand he is a good basketball player too. Great kid and athlete. He does shine at WR though. He has made a lot of highlight reel catches, but no, not against Nederland.
 18.
This thread has become bizarre. Vidor needs to worry about Central and PNG needs to worry about LCM right now. PNG/Vidor will be next week. If both teams don't take care of business tomorrow, they may find themselves with their playoff futures in somebody elses hands. No team wants that...you want to control your own destiny. I have met fans from all the area teams and there are good ones and bad ones, including PNG. To" hate" a school or team, I mean really hate, is ridiculous. Invictus...I have heard that PNG is making plans to honor Matt Thomas next week. Will you still hate us then? My heart has been broken over the loss y'all have suffered in the Vidor community as have fans from schools throughout the area. A little perspective would be nice. PNG fans take a lot of pride in our school and team, sometimes that comes off as arrogant to those who are not a part of it. Most PNG fans are good people, but some take things too far, just like fans of all schools do. Vidor has one heck of a team this year and it should be a battle next Friday. Win or lose, I will be pulling for the Pirates in the playoffs....whether you hate me or not.
Good post ndnsrock. Yes, this thread is bizarre. I'm sorry I jumped into the fray. Good luck to the Pirates this week. I hope there is some healing after the loss of Matt.
 19.

Bamakid, they are having one winning season and now they're experts.
I am normally anti-png always but I have to agree with this sentiment.
I'm pretty sure we went 7-4 in the year 2009. Now tell me GoDogs27 and PNGFan isn't that a winning schedule?  ::)  8)
If I remember right, in 2009, Vidor beat a couple of Catholic schools and a 2-A school pre-district. I think the Pirates got beat by Central and both Mid-county teams in 09. Ok, that IS a winning season. Twocents, I know you are proud of your Pirates, but running down everbody else does not make your team better.
 20. Kudos to Eric and to the Enterprise for the story. I like to read "good news" stories about our area kids. Looking forward to seeing the kid play.
 21.
because i am a classless png fan sitting at home drink grape kool aid in one of my 15000 png shirts Not really just cause i was bored and making conversation
I'm taking that from you. I kinda resemble that remark!  ;D
 22.
Taking Ozen to try and pick a win out of the pick-em leader's pockets.
Be honest smokin' baby. You couldnt pick PNG to win, no matter who they played.
 23. Good post AJ, and I do hope you continue writing. I have read and enjoyed many of your post on this board. Lamar's problems go back a ways. I'm a former Lamar student back in the day of Billy Tubbs and the sucessful basketball program. Those days shaped Lamar for the next couple of decades. The Lamar Board of Reagants, as well as a lot of the community, wanted LU to be a big-time basketball school, and the football program abandoned. That didnt turn out as planned, and here we are 30 years later, trying to right the ship. There are a lot of positives with Lamar, and they are heading in the right direction. The evolution is just slower than guys like us want it to be. There are giant obstacles to overcome. Lamar is still seen as a commuter school; even with the new dormitories being some of the nicest in the country. Lamar is trying to recruit good athletes and scholars, but have to compete with bigger and better in-state and out-of-state schools. I want to have patience, but when you see other upstart programs like South Alabama have better success, patiences wanes. Beaumont is not a college town (at least not yet!). Lastly, State funding is decreasing, which will hurt if not stop Lamar's progress. Winning would fix a lot of these issues, but unfortunately, that is a long way off too. Good post and topic AJ.
 24. I'd like to see Central win this one just to shake things up in the district. I wouldn't bet on it though. I'll take the Dogs in this game.
 25. Smitty is busy on the political forum trying to rile up True Blue. He wont be able to find anything to gripe about as far as the Nederland defense this year! Yes, the Dog D is for real. The beasts up front are impressive.
