    I like Newton’s chances here. I’ve watched videos of Daingerfield what few I could get. Their big Qb scares me a little he looks Ike a good athlete. I think for a change Newton has a little more speed than the Tigers. That Samuel kid for Newton can move., and it goes without saying about Porter. That Hunter kid ain’t bad either. They scared me to death with their pass defense against Edgewood until I saw the video. That Qb for Edgewood can put it on a dime. And, his receivers could catch it. I’m pumped; this is the most fun time of the year for me. Go Eagles.🦅 I have to add this though. I watched the State game between the tigers and Yoe in 2010. Those guys looked like grown men playing as opposed to kids now a days who look like boys.😂 that was a heck of a good game.

    Watched the game on Nfsh. Those Newton kids are as tough as Harleys yard dog. Man they had those Harmony players layin’ out everywhere . lol luckily nobody was hurt bad, just bruised maybe. Good game. Newtons tough.

      That's correct. I'm not sure what happened last night at the West Orange-Stark game. I was in the stands but heard he was running late and didn't get the broadcast going until late.

      He said he got caught up in his daughters volleyball game. He broadcasted some from his car. He also said the press box at the stadium burned down. He was on the sidelines. The audio was terrible with all the fan, and band noise. But a WOS fan saved the day by posting the television station’s broadcast and we got to watch the game.👍 I am impressed with this years team. There are some pretty tough kids on both interior lines. They flat out never gave up. It sure shows that they needed more games to sharpen up, but they’ll get there. Gonna be a fun year with our Eagles, and the Cowboys.

    Hey, NewtonNation. I’m trying to find out about a kid on the Eagles roster for last year, but missing on the 23-24 roster. The youngsters name is McClendon. The roster said he is 6’4” 260. Sounds like a hoss. Do you know if he is still with the team? Also who is the starting QB this year.

    I don’t know a thing about the team this year, but I was looking at the new roster recently, and was surprised to count 66 kids on there. I don’t know if that included JV and all, but they only had like 25 on the roster last year. Hope that’s a sign of more kids coming out. Hate to bet against my Eagles, but I’m afraid W’ville will take it. I listened to them last week, and was impressed. They hung tough against Franklin. Thank God It’s Football Friday.🥰

    I don’t want to get too over confident here, but I don’t see a lot of competition in the wins for Harmony. Any given game, as they say, but eight of the nine games at the end of the year look pretty weak. No disrespect to anyone just the facts. Go 🦅

    I don’t have a clue who the best team here is, but I’m pulling for HF. I have a special affinity for the Long Horns, because they handed the Newton Eagles their only loss in 1974 by the score 13-8. The first game of the year. Later, in Bi - District Newton beat HF by the score 14-13. On their way to their first State Championship. That was a great rivalry for years.

    As much as I would like to see Lumberton win, I’m afraid Tyler Chapel Hill will be too much for the Raiders. However, I will be happy if they win.
