Healthcare costs have nothing to do with the government. If anything, Medicare helps keep costs down by with their pricing schedules. DOGE can’t help much on this one. What is $84 billion against $3 trillion (total cost, public and private).

Yes, I was somewhat surprised to get a heart from Reagan. We agree on the symptoms, but I’m pretty sure we won’t agree on the cure. Without lobbying reform and campaign finance reform, Big Pharma and the Insurance Industry will continue to pick our pockets. We do pay the most as a percentage of GDP for healthcare with inferior outcomes. I did extensive research on this using the CIA’s World Fact Book a few years back. My career was in insurance. For all you youngsters out there approaching Medicare eligibility DO NOT buy an Advantage plan. Keep your Medicare rights. AARP’s plan with United Healthcare and Mutual of Omaha sell good Supplements. At least, United is good for now (that’s what I have).
-
You are 100% correct. All you really have to do is consider this: When open enrollment comes around, Advantage plans are advertised at least 10 times as much as Supplement plans. Why you think that is? Companies advertise the most for the plans that make THEM the most money. With advantage plans, you sign your Medicare rights over to the insurance company, your premium withheld from Social Security goes to them, and they get to direct your care.

Hypocrite.

Who owns the Post? A notorious purveyor of fake news.

Yes, innocents do make deals. Had Trump any sense he would have made a deal with E. Jean Carrol. You say Trump was innocent of housing discrimination. He made a deal. It’s called settling out of court, and I’ll bet dollars to donuts there was a disclaimer that CBS admits no wrongdoing. If they were guilty, why did Trump offer a settlement? Why didn’t he push for the max? He wanted fast cash.
-
Are you serious? You consider that proof? FOX edits Trump. Everybody edits. The claim is ludicrous.
-
What does that even mean? Whose fault is the recession going to be? Who will you blame when the layoffs begin? Who will you blame when manufacturers and retailers cite the tariffs and the uncertainty they bring as the reason for their decisions?
-
There is no proof that happened.
-
Ok. You cited three sources that are notorious for lies and sensationalism. Did you actually read the CNN article? If you did, I don’t think you would have included it. There is no proof they edited any differently than is done standard. CBS settled to get the Weasel off their back. A gutless move, but the move they chose.
-
Yeah, like trash our nation’s capitol. You are such a hypocrite, man.
-
Source? All interviews are edited. Where’s the proof it was done to hide incompetence? I think you’re just spreading Trump lies. And don’t link me to Breitbart. I want a legit link.

Source?

He told his FCC chair to punish a news outlet for reporting things he didn’t like. He pardons lawbreakers who say what he likes. “Free speech for me, none for thee.” That’s an autocracy, not a democracy. Does that clarify my point any at all? Do I have to give a link to me? I don’t want to break any rules.

Here you go, wise ask. This is the only link referencing the charge I could find from a legit news source. The administration was trying to get Zuckerberg to do something about misinformation, not suppressing the truth. [Hidden Content]

Why? The reports are in the public square. Not in a dark corner like Breitbart. Read the freaking news. Not just the opinions on the news.

If it walks like a duck and wicks like a duck… He is Brendan Carr’s boss, and he readily fires bosses who don’t do as he “hopes”, or who disagree with him. The First Anendment is the real issue here. He wants a news organization fined for airing positions he disagrees with. Why not comment on some of that?

Donald Trump ordered the FCC to sanction CBS for two segments about Ukraine and Greenland Sunday night. I saw the Zelenskyy segment. Looked like journalism to me. If any of you support this move, how can you call yourself Americans. It is a blatant affront to the First Amendment. The Weasel cries like a baby when people complain about what his supporters say or do citing free speech. He pardoned hundreds for their “expression” of free speech on Jan. 6. If someone says something he doesn’t like he acts more like Putin than he does an American President. Can’t you see the kind of country he wants to try and create? It’s certainly NOT a democracy.
