  1. Have you ever been a target of racism (not prejudice)?
  2. Well, I read it. It says obesity and unhealthy food choices affect the poor in greater uh, proportion, but that systemic racism affects primarily availability and effectiveness of treatment for African Americans. Soon away, though. All the dollar stores around here are in primarily white neighborhoods.
  3. Those percentages I cited reflect inequity. I would like to think no one was killed by cops, not 5000 proportionate to 1000. Nice try at manipulating what I was trying to point out (not).
  4. Dayum. You sit in the store and monitor folks eating habits relative to their economic status? Sounds a little OCD. It’s salt, sugar, and fat. There is no racial component to that. Your fearless leader is example 1A.
  5. Northerners who wanted to preserve slavery so that their manufacturing businesses would continue to receive cheap raw materials from the slave states. It wasn’t just a southern thing. It was and still is about preserving a certain social order.
  6. Whatever. I’m talking the nation’s societal condition, not just Texas. Do you know who the Copperheads were?
  7. I am older, and retired. An anomaly, perhaps, but convicted of my beliefs nonetheless.
  8. So, what, you deny the effects of Jim Crow laws existing into the 1960’s? And, cavemen and Mesopotamians aren’t relevant to today’s social ills any more than “bleeding” and using mercury as medicine are relevant to today’s medical profession.
  9. I do acknowledge your assertion. It’s not poverty. It’s oppression. Your assertion that “they’re always doing it to each other” dovearils nicely with the bigoted defense of slavery that “they did it to each other” in selling their enemies to the white profiteer.
  10. How’s that racist if I’m white? If the white man likes to share, why so many broken promises throughout our history? The institution of slavery and the south’s attempt to perpetuate it into the second half of the twentieth century does affect the lives of many today.
  11. It ain’t what you don’t know that will get you in trouble. It’s what you know for sure that just ain’t so. - Mark Twain
  12. Waaaa waaaa waaaa. How about 300 years of total exclusion from educational, financial, and career advancement? White people don’t like to share, unless it’s someone they deem “deserving”, and from everything I read here, most don’t see the African American as deserving. No consideration for the boot on their necks for generation after generation. THAT is institutional racism at it’s most pernicious.
  13. White people who qualify get the same benefits. Argument fails on its merits.
  14. Typical racist false logic to make it look like white folk get the raw end of the deal. 2021 census estimate: 196,833,431 whites in US, 41,858,536 blacks in US. Whites killed by cops 2017-2022: 2,320. Blacks killed by cops same time period: 1,260. Technically m, you are correct. Look at proportions, however, and your claim becomes grossly inaccurate. Rate of whites killed by cops: 11.79 per million. Rate of blacks killed by cops: 25.81 per million. Over twice the rate. Numbers are meaningless without context and proportion.
  15. You talking to me, or the “dreaded liberals” remark that opened it up?
  16. You would think Christmas would be the one day that “dreaded” would be a word avoided when wishing your fellow man peace and goodwill. As for better Christians, would Jesus have dumped a bunch of refugees out in the cold without blankets or coats on Christmas Eve? I hope your prayer is answered, Hagar, most sincerely. Merry Christmas to all, regardless of political persuasion.
  17. Newsmax is not known for truth telling. Like I say, Dershowitz is a shill. The token Democrat, if you will. Legitimizes the lies on the right.
  18. There’s no delegitimizing someone who is not legitimate to begin with. The man is a grossly incompetent leader. He doesn’t possess the ability to lead when he believes “I alone can fix it.”
  19. Then why they all left and went north after WW ll began
  20. Criminal indictments or Congressional indictments? There’s a big difference.
  21. I am white. Your quote here places the black man pretty close to cattle. Husbandry? Really? You got your hood on?
