The last president to make millions in the private sector before becoming President? Herbert Hoover. Business is not Government. They have vastly different objectives. Business moguls do not like to share power, and I understand that. Under a three branch system of government they have to. Perot was not going to “fix” anything. Instead, we got the best economy since the post war boom with a Democratic President who understood that power sharing was necessary to accomplish anything.
That President did not promise rainbows and unicorns if he got his way. Since being elected, he’s now talking “short term pain” while he works his manic. Who, exactly is going to feel that pain? Not the ruling class.
The deficit is the difference between annual receipts and expenses. The debt is what we have to borrow to finance the deficits. Trump set records on both scores.
No he’s not. He’s showboating. They’re not looking for waste. It’s a disguise for retribution. You know, the way politics is used in authoritarian countries.
He’s not an effin auditor. He’s a successful narcissistic entrepreneur. He doesn’t have a clue about how OUR government works. He craves attention and money. That’s what got his new puppet to take him in. That and $270,000,000.
Musk doesn’t get to keep the money? Are you nuts? He launches those satellites for free? You people are coming unhinged. He should get contracts on a bid basis. That $270 billion he gave Trump ain’t gonna come free. I’d be surprised if Trump didn’t award him all of it to him on a cost plus basis. He don’t need no stinking competitive bids to hassle with.
So, if he decides all news sources offend him except FOX and Newsmax, then no first amendment rights are abridged? Your logic is way flawed, not that it matters in Trump World.
I have suggested this before and been roundly chided by the crowd here. The new Secretary of Defense has just ordered 8% be cut from the military budget for each of the next five years. That’s over $300 billion. Why is it okay because Trump wants it? Sounds like a Putin dream come true. If anyone here defends this, you are nothing but a shameless sycophant.
Not a reporter. A whole news organization. Associated Press. Because they refuse to refer to the Gulf of Mexico as anything else. They don’t call it what Trump says to call it. That abridges their right to call it by either name, or no name, for that matter. Denied access by the commander in chief because they don’t say it the way HE wants. Could it be any clearer?
So, the president who brags about his ability to end wars and says no wars happened under his first watch is threatening to invade the most inflammatory region on the globe and suddenly it’s cool. The irony keeps getting sadder.
