and my two cents worth is: who the crap cares who is the official district champions and who isnt?  Why cant everyone just say: Job well done! and stop making so much trouble out of this?  If we (WOS) beat your team during the season: say Good game! and go on with it and stop trying to take away the well played games our kids did!  Same goes for the vice versa! Seems like every topic that is posted has to have someone, sometimes several, who just have to cause trouble and say negative things.  No wonder this world is so screwed up and people are killing others for no good reason.  If this is what we are teaching our kids then we shouldn't be surprised when they go postal on others --- they learned from the grown ups that the way to handle something you don't like is to cause trouble. Geez .. this is really getting out of hand!

I have to give my opinion one more time on this subject: If you have not gotten one and/or you are on the fence wondering if it is worth $30 to buy one .. well, no, its not worth $30 .. its worth far more then that! During live action, you really do miss some awesome plays!  While watching the DVD I saw so many plays that I had missed during the real game.  Let me tell you a little story: My son wanted a cap from the local gas station.  I thought they were $10 so I went in and bought him one.  It was $26!!!! I was so mad at him.  I went home, went into my room, and watched the Playoff: Round 2 Sr. Division DVD that I had bought the night before.  I just wanted to be alone to calm down.  Anyway, it didn't take me long to open the door and tell him that he had earned that $26 cap and then some!  You see, I saw some AWESOME plays that I had missed during the game. No, I do not work for Sheffield Productions.  Never even heard of them until last year when I bought the Superbowl tape for Jr. Division.  I am not getting a dime out of my comments -- no kickbacks; no refunds; no discounts.  I very, very gladly handed over my $30 twice this playoff season and if my son's team had made it to the Superbowl this year (they didn't) I would gladly hand over another $30. Buy one!!!!!!  You won't be disappointed!!!!!

I hope Nederland runs all over Lumberton in the Sr. Division! :o  ;) No offense L-Train okay?  We still friends? ;D

team moms do a lot too and deal with a lot == which is why I refused to be one this year!  Phone calls while I was work; phone calls while i was home resting; phone calls late at night; phone calls early in the morning.  Each game I went out and bought ice for the water jugs (that I paid for) and distilled water for the kids.  I provided cookies and snacks as much as my checkbook allowed it.  Rod, Quibodeux, and another coach last year Blagburn, contributed money at the beginning of the year to buy water bottles.  Within the first few weeks they were lost so I went out and bought some more at my expense.  Then bought more.  The day of the Jr. superbowl last year my family (minus my football player) were involved in a wreck on top of the Rainbow Bridge.  My husband and oldest were unhurt and I insisted that they catch a ride with someone and go to the game to be with our Son, Gary.  During the game I was strapped to a backboard in the ER going through cat scans, MRI's, blood work, neck brace, etc.  Two days later, I was at the end of year party loaded down with treat bags, a referee pinata filled with goodies, 4 dozen blue and white cupcakes, and I was at the assembly line helping hand out hot dogs to the kids and coaches. I had a parent tell me recently that SHE thought i was a good team mom and she appreciated it.  That prompted me to ask what made her say that and I found out that there were some people complaining that i had not provided cold water for the guys at one game and that was "just the worst".  I didn't do it that game because my kids had been sick; one was brought to the ER because he was so sick, and I was workign on two hours of sleep. You can't please everyone all the time!  I learned that the hard way. So I say: thanks to all the team moms of the league.  Glad it was you this year and not me!

wish i could have met you L-Train.  Maybe next year, if my son decides to play again (right now he is unsure if he wants to play - for reasons I'd rather not get into on a public forum), I will be able to meet some of the people on this board.  You really can't miss me though cause I am loud - I wasn't exaggerating! ;D  If my husband and I decide to go to the Superbowl games - I will be sure and let you know so I can look you up.

Hey LTrain: I thought of you yesterday when i was looking across the field and saw & heard cans rattling!  I was searching the side lines out for a lone man sitting in his chair with his hands over his ears with an agitated look on his face!  ;D  i even took my binoculors to see better! ha ha ha

What is this?  Does anyone have more information on this?  Please share with us if you do.

And if Lumberton White wins, I will get on here and congratulate them on a win.  I just don't like that no one has confidence in my team. :-\

Lumberton White has to get through WOS first this Saturday.  I recall a LOT of smack talk saying that WOS wouldn't make it to the playoffs much less further ---- well, I guess they were wrong.  We beat Bridge City in a very good, well matched game. Good luck to EVERYONE who is playing on the field tomorrow.  The field will be wet so I hope and pray that no one gets hurt.

with all due respect ladies and gentlemen: this is not the place to discuss forfeits and such. Videoguy is trying to get the information out to us parents and coaches as to what to expect and what is wanted and/or needed so that his company and crew can do the best possible job and make it worthwhile to pay him $30 for the DVD. There are other topics that you can post under for that kind of stuff. Again, I'm not trying to be mean or rude but when I come to this topic, I come to find out info on the subject that is posted -- not about scores and stuff.  I click on other topics for that.
