I’m sitting right behind the Kountze bench and right in front of the Paradise main fan section. They do not like the physical defense being played.

After a 2-11 start from the field, Kountze ends the half 15-31 and 7-13 from 3. 7 offensive rebounds and 7 steals. Sells has 17 and Donald had 17

We are about to enter the building. I don’t think the doors open until 10, but I think they are about to let us in early

I don't know what the numbers for 1A and 2A schools, but I think 3A needed to split. Whether they do it before district or after the regular season, idk. Kountze has 333 students compared to Orangefield has 541. Having a 200+ student differential is a major advantages for the school that hover on the 4A line.

Would have been a fun rematch. Kountze led them by 10-12 for 30 minutes but those last two minutes got hairy.

I agree. The first half was called very tight one way, and not so tight the other. That’s for sure. Proud of the boys for keeping their composure and not letting it get to them.

Survive and advance. Kountze didn’t shoot it well and everybody was in foul trouble, but tip of the cap to Westwood. They play some good defense. I knew this game could be trouble if the combination of all of the above happened, but great teams find a way. Next!

I’ll take Westwood at +18, but would be ecstatic to lose that pick haha

I’ll be at the Kountze/Westwood game. I think I would set the line at Kountze -12, but not going to lie, I’m a little nervous. I think Westwood is not as good as they were last year. They graduated a couple of solid pieces, but they bring back that man. He’s performance last year was special, going for 55 in an overtime loss. Kountze is better this year and have that experience in big games they lacked last year. We know what Sells brings, and Donald has been great in the postseason. Smart and Courts have been shooting it really well the last couple of weeks. When those two are hitting open shots, it’s hard for anybody to beat Kountze. I would expect Kountze to roll with and 8 man rotation this week. This is the biggest hurdle for the Lions so far, should be a good game.

Wow. What happened here? Hell if an effort BC. I took them in the pic ems but didn’t think it would be a one point game.

I agree. Though I wouldn’t be absolutely shocked if EC pulled it off, Hitchcock isn’t the power house they were last year. Still pretty dang good, though.
