He is not one to cuss a kid or put his hands on them either. His style is his own good or bad. To each his own. He probably came across laid back in bc as to not upset the lynch mob of "experts" that have sat in the stands most of their lives. If he was firm, then he would have been too demanding. I am giving away some soccer shoes that are clogging up my locker space. These are good for those aspiring kickers out there. They are all Reebok and new in the box. Most are size 9 and some are 8.5. If anyone needs a pair or know of someone that does then just pm me. Again I am giving these away you are only responsible for the shipping. On a side note. The area has some good kickers. I worked with several this summer and they all made great improvements with the time that we spent together. Hopefully they can carry that on into the season and have much success.

I would slow down on this announcement. In all accounts a good thing, but drastically the opposite of what I know about the scenario at that school.

I am offering kicking lessons to the youth of the area. I know for the most part kids at this age don't usually kick field goals, but in case there are then I can help. My name is Matt Bryant and I have been in the NFL for seven years now. My two mainstays have been with the Giants and now with the Bucs. I currently live in Beaumont and will be here through July. If you decide to get lessons you will need to bring your own footballs. The kids at this age will get nothing out of kicking a pro football besides a sore foot and and a touch of discouragement. Who did he not play? Mcginnis grandson from a few years ago and the current one that didn't make the varsity team this year

I thought surely that after seeing the first post of this mindset that you would realize what you were saying. Then you say it again so I feel like it needs to be pointed out to you. The team should be made up of the best x number of players that year. You judge on what you see before you at that moment collectively over the next several weeks. Teams change each year due to graduation and people transferring in. The talent bar, so to speak, changes along with it. It may lower, rise, or stay the same. Don't know until they get on the field and do their thing. What if only 6 players perform to that level you speak of? Should Bridge City call off the season because the kids they have now don't perform to the level that 1 or 2 did a year ago? What if the 2 that you speak of don't perform as well as they did last year. Does that mean that they should not be on varsity as well? Don't quite know where you are coming from? Like you said earlier, you are just guessing!

I will go ahead and address this issue to the whole. I talked to one patron of this website privately about this and he seemed to get it. Now that it is baseball season the nay sayers and ignorant will crawl out of the woodworks and voice their comical opinions. Comical not because it is negative somewhat towards my family but because of the reasoning. First of all, Dylan is a person just like any other. I see no reason to try and belittle another for pure self satisfaction. But hey, this is Bridge City. You have to expect it and just roll with it I guess. He has every right to be allowed to try and make the varsity team. Despite his affiliation with the coach, if he can be steady in the field, solid at the plate, and trusted to play the game at a high intellectual level, then he deserves to be there. Despite what some think, it will actually be harder for him to make the team. Just for the very reason that we see in the last few posts. Why don't you just wait until the season begins. If he is allowed to be on the varsity and performs the way you think he will, then come on here and play the "nephew card". You would have every justification in the world to do that. If he does go out there and plays at a varsity level, then congratulate him along with the others and support the team. Or just keep coming on here and post ridiculous crap. Keep guesssing, based on one post it seems to be the backbone to their logic.

This shouldn't distract them because they shouldn't be on here at all. Just go out there and play the game to the best of your ability.This crap, meaning an avenue to hide behind screen names and post stuff that has very little validity, shouldn't even be on their minds. The problem with you injun and your Little League level of experience is you focus on the first game with Jasper. You keep talking about being outcoached when you just dont have a clue. Were there costly routine errors? How about untimely walks at the end of the game when it is on the line? How about missed assignments that are given to players that they decide to do something else on their own? You have taken all that into consideration though so what am I talking about?

Just another example of someone running their mouth when they have no clue. Billy didn't walk on. Your moderator told you to move on but you had to show everyone your ignorrance.

The negativity is sad, but that is the trend in BC these days toward Billy. Ususally it stems from the ones that sons or grandsons are not playing. Their Little League ALL-Star is sitting the bench and is being treated unfairly. The others do it just because. Just because a man says very little and doesn't portray an over abundance of cheerfullness he gets slammed. The man can coach. He played and starred at his college. He raised a program from nothing into something at Buna. Now he is in BC coaching/dealing with the crap that goes along with these people. Kudos to you Stringer. Would have bet a year's salary that anything like that would have never came from you. Also, much respect for not hiding behind a screen name. A little tidbit, because of what I do and the people I come into contact with, the biggest thing in advancing your career is the mental approach to your craft. Stay positive, aggressive, and most of all in control. Certain decisions that he or any coach makes during a game I would guess are based on events that occur out of people's eyes. Things that people with knowledge of the game would consider. Until you are in the heat of battle in the same shoes your words hold very little credibility. There is a great story about a gladiator standing in the middle of an arena and all the people yelling at him. I'll find it and post it later so I dont screw it up from my own words. Good, I just bought a new house and maybe you could help me get rid of some old stuff! I take my burgers with 2 patties. 1st beef= People that say stuff when they have absolutely nothing to justify it. In this case the two individuals were flat out telling lies. I waste my time and breath everytime I take on that argument. It will never change, some people just get warm and giggly because they see something they wrote or said out there for everyone else to see. 2nd beef= kids actually get on here and read the crap that some people say and on top of that "Believe It". What if the 2nd day pitcher or 3rd day pitcher saw that and said Coach Bryant doesn't believe in me and only wanted one game. Not good for the whole team when one guy isn't there mentally. The fact is there was no coin toss because both coaches AGREED on 2 out of 3. Coach Bryant believes in each and everyone of them and that is that. One group working as one can go a long way.
