I like this idea....I know some kids that would want to tryout....These kids are also wanting to tryout in Houston for this next year, and those tryouts are usually in July.  There is alot of talent in the Golden Triangle, would be fun to put something together and be able to work it around their other school sports.....This would be AWESOME.....

YES, Rizon - Maybe you need to start another thread on this....not sure if next years predictions is where you want to talk about it....They don't mind competing together in other sports what makes Volleyball any different.....It is expensive and some people don't understand that part of it....i can play basketball/softball for 75.00 sign up fee, why is volleyball going to cost 1,500.00....You got to love it !!!  If the Golden Triangle would support this it would be awesome....Volleyball is an awesome sport, takes much more skill than ole Bleed thinks it does.....wet paint dry, whatever....and no action on the basketball page, unbelievable!!!!! ;)

Rizon i like your post.....but then i like VOLLEYBALL.....you have alot of knowledge for the game and I enjoy reading your predictions!!!!  We can't help it if Aggie was DOMINATED this past year now can we.......and Bleed I am amazed at your knowledge of this game, actually i like seeing that you are even interested in this site......but really watching paint dry.. ;) But all kidding aside, how can you prediction a bunch of teenage GIRLS......you think you have it figured out and then one of them breaks a nail, geez...unbelievable.....i have noticed that alot of girls are becoming more interested in this sport and that's what really makes it fun to watch.....Lets see last year i predicted the order would be Silsbee, Hamshire, BC, Orangefield......i know, i know, i didn't do very good at all.....so now lets see if i can do any better this year, i'm going to say the top 2 teams will be Orangefield and BC and at any given time Silsbee and HF can take over.....Looking forward to next year already..... Rizon what would you say if we were able to put together the top girls in our District and go take down some of those Houston teams next year.....We'd have to have the top players, a good coach and for sure a gym.......can you see anything like that happening in the future.....I know i can get you a few ;)!!!!!

I agree with you Pirates. You guys have a great Coach and with each game he will get his team prepared.  Nothing wrong with being the Sleeper in the District.  I think you guys have a chance.  Good Luck. :)

Congrat's to EC on the win.....You guys worked really hard out there to win this game.....But so did those Bobcats....Orangefield played a much better game, probably one of the best i have seen all year......just keep working on those shots guys and ya'll will start turning things around......BELIEVE!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, is pretty much how I sum that game up…..will have to agree with wildcatter on this one, one of the worst I have ever seen……What has happened to this sport and the quality of officiating?  Are the officials trying to do too much, meaning spread too thin?  If that’s the case, go back to having the girls and boys play on the same night at the same gym with quality officials, neither Vidor nor Orangefield deserved a game like this…. Orangefield, you guys just seem to get jerked in and out of the game and can’t get any rhythm going….fight passed that and play some ball….Vidor, you guys have a good Coach, work hard and he’ll get your team to the playoffs……

I will have to agree with you mactiger, a very exciting year of 3A volleyball indeed.  Could have went either way at any time.  Now ladies, get out there and make us proud.

Orangefield is playing some really good volleyball......With every game played they have gotten better and stronger......Shows what a hard preseason schedule can do for some girls learning the game of volleyball.....that back row is digging up everything.......and the front row players have started slamming the ball from all areas.....they are playing as a team and learning their roles on the court, just as senior Aimee Scales said in a previous article.....i say Orangefield in 3..... Also, the Orangefield JV and Freshman teams look amazing.....keep it up ladies, ya'll are so much fun to watch......future looks bright in Orangefield...... Orangefield (6-1) Bridge City (4-3)
