Who should they have hired?

Well having the AD/HFC combined position hasn’t exactly been the answer over the last 75 years (or however long Warren’s been playing football). This is probably the best move they could make with Smithey bailing so late. At least it provides the kids with some stability as these two guys were there this past year. The program is been trending in a positive direction over the last three years why not stay the course with two guys who want to be there…Wishing the best for Warren.

According to Carl Padilla: Adams is the current varsity boys basketball coach and Brewton is the current DC.

I was told he is leaving to get back closer to family. He came to Warren from CC Calallen.

sigh….. Got to feel for the kids….real late for a HC to leave…

Nice backup plan by the AD…If Sam stumbles at all early next season he gets slid out and Bobby P gets moved up….

Sometimes its not the coaches, players or offensive scheme that’s the issue….sometimes you just play a better team.. Woodville is a better team than OF…

It’s all subjective…Comes down to who you root for/where you’re from versus who your rival is…for me I couldn’t care less about MCM (yes I’ve been to several over years as my wife’s from Nederland) great atmosphere for sure but it does nothing for me. Ask someone from Silsbee or Jasper and they’ll say their rivalry game is the best or HF and EC the same…Even though it’s totally a one sided series give me Warren versus Woodville but only because I’m from Tyler County and know how much fun it is for those two communities…

Depends on how small or short you are….gotta compensate with either a big truck or apparently a big press box…😁

Interesting enough, one of Danaher’s former assistant coaches (Austin Smithey) is now at Warren trying to do what Danaher did at Calallen…build a program from the very bottom up…

True. And If the school and board do what they’re supposed to do on personnel matters it will stay that way.

I’ve seen the bad Kountze teams of the early 80’s….it would take a lot to top those teams…It was the first game of the season so I’d withhold crowning them worse ever until they get a few games under their belt…Best of luck to the Lions..

As you know Vegas is in it to make money…they know ND are media/pollsters darlings and are not a true top 5 team…imho..

55 y’all are in a precarious spot with those low numbers…hopefully no injuries for you guys and if/went they do come hopefully some of those better JV players have developed enough to jump up and contribute safely. Best of luck to y’all…
