  1. That team was made up of kids from other Tyler County towns as well..Not solely Woodville... Besides I think most of those boys graduated over the last couple of years...
  2. Come on man you have over 11000+ posts on a mostly high school sports forum and you want to call out other adults for getting wrapped up in school sports!?! Look in the mirror... You're the one that started this thread...
  3. I agree Reb...I would like to see them go back to no more than 2 teams from each district but I don't think that happens...Good luck to the Rebels.
  4. No problem with last nights score...No quarter asked for..none given...We would have scored as much if roles were reversed...I've always said if you don't like getting blown out then do something about it...and no there was no parade for beating the Eagles....See you next season...
  5. I've seen both teams..I believe the Rebs take this one.
  6. Congrats to the Bucs! Best of luck in y'all's new district!

  8. Congrats to the Pirates on a solid season! A lot of good wins this year despite what the community went through.
  9. Wouldn't require a public vote if the money used came from the fund balance. The Board could vote to use if brought to them by the Superintendent..
  10. If more taxpayers had a clue about how poorly the state legislature funds school districts they would understand why more fields aren't turfed or why gyms don't have stadium seating...Hard to spend that kind of money when you're trying to make sure you're holding on to all your teaching positions, fixing the roofs and A/C units, buying replacement buses etc etc especially when the oil and gas prices are in the dumpster which takes away a lot of tax dollars..Not to mention the increase cost districts have seen caused by the affordable care act. (yes this effected public school districts too as they are employers)...When districts face this they got to prioritize and turf usually doesn't make the list...
  11. Most taxpayers do not know how The State of Texas funds education ..If they did they would be camped out in Austin every other year to demand it get fixed. Until that happens I would be very reluctant to spend $1 million on turf or any other like extra curricular activity project..That money would stay in fund balance until the state gets it right..
  12. The Bucs will be in the hunt for the DC just as they've had for the last 20 + years...Good Luck over there EC!
