I think this game will be a big test for Nederland's LB's.Last year J.Wood played a CB area most of the night against Crosby's spread and did a good job.Nederland will find out what kind of coverage skills we have at the LB position this year.I know Seay will do a great job and I hope the new LB's have a good game or it could be a match-up nightmare for Ned's Def. Cood.

Congrats to the players,Big Honor!

Nederland's boys track team lost District Championship to Tony Brown and company by 1 point.I think Nederland was selected by Coca Cola as the best program in SE Texas this year.Another poll picked Ned. as the fourth over all program in the state.Tigers had a great year but Nederland had a better one this year.I would love to see a list of all of the sports top to bottom to back up my view.

Kind of fond of the 87 yard interception return for a touchdown by Jordan Wood last year that iced the game.Great catch and had a lot of help getting to the end zone. -

Johnnyarm,My comments were a generalization. My point was that most AD's in Texas will hire a coach that is football first and knows baseball also.My other point is it is hard to keep the community behind you in Mid-County.So much talent each year to decide who the starting 9 will be.Some of the non-starters parents set out to run the coach off.Not fair but it is the way it goes in Mid-County. -

In the state of Texas, football is the event and every other activity is a sport.Took me a while to realize that the AD job rest on how the football team competes. If all the other sports do well it is a bonus for the AD but it is not his primary focus. The system is set up for the AD's to have a football first mentality. It is easy to bash the AD's until you put yourself in their shoes. Most people would do what it takes to keep a job.Good luck on PNG finding a baseball coach that can keep the parents and fan base happy. -

Mark Brevell is a great person and coach from a smart baseball family.I hope this was his decision and not a forced move.Either way his teams have preformed very well during his reign. He has kept the tradition rich Indians headed in the right direction.Mark, good luck at your new job,I know it will be a little less stressful. -

Might be best talent to work with in SETX for next three years.Lekich was a horse as a freshman and has a great supporting cast.Next year healthy Ledoux and Ashworth. What baseball coach would not want the PNG job. -
Great season Barbers Hill. For Smoking Baby I bet you are going to have a hard time rapping your head around the fact that Nederland beat Foster this year and Barbers Hill could not.I love it when someone like you has to eat crow!I am not saying that Nederland is better than BH but Smoking Baby said some pretty classless stuff about Nederland before this series.

Barbers Hill vs. Richmond Foster Game 1/Foster wins 6-0!!

Funny,I was pulling for BH to win this series before Smoking Baby started bumping his gums about how Nederland sucks.I would hate to see what he would say about a really bad team. Now I am wanting Foster to sweep the series so a team that sucks did something that BH could not.I think Smoking Baby brings BH bad karma -
Would have loved to be a fly on the wall for his dad's job interview.
