  1. It is a weak district, but that is not Lumberton's fault. Vidor and Huffman both fell way short of expectations. LCM actually exceeded mine slightly, but 6-5 doesn't justify a lot of the crowing you hear. Will the WOS backup rb from last year be enough to make up for your qb being out against Huffman?
  2. Compared to whom? Show me a good team yall have beaten. Maybe Vidor this year? It irks me when you guys crow about going 6-5 with wins over Splendora and HJ. Or brag about getting in the playoffs in the worst district in the state? What if you were 4A d2?
  3. HF beat Orangefield twice last year and brings everyone back. Orangefield lost a really good player and a really good coach. HF has one of the best coaching staffs around.
  4. Brian Delord was pretty good. He played at Lamar for a bit.
  5. Your posts are the only thing that make me cringe. I think the coaching staff is doing a good job with what they have, but I don't think the Bears have beaten a remotely decent team in two years. Maybe that changes next week?
  6. What is the 4A district standings? And how many games did Bridge City have to forfeit?
  7. SETX. Summer Creek and Atascocita are in the bmt district, but those guys aren't local. Plus if they are included they would knock some local teams off the list. And their people aren't on this board to argue or debate.
  8. Way to go Bobcats! Slow start and then take care of business!
  9. Bridge City would be insufferable if they had somehow snuck away with a win.
  10. Who is coming back for Hardin-Jefferson? Lumberton dad said they boat raced them in a fall league game (don't really matter) and he didn't recognize any of the kids. I think maybe they take a step back in that district.
  11. I'd be happy to critique your list. Where is it?
  12. I have a bad habit of exaggerating things. As far as I know the upset over Hardin Jefferson is the only Bridge City playoff win ever. I would love to see that game replayed again this year.
  13. When do we find out if Bridge City has to forfeit games?
  14. East Chambers fan talking about transfers is rich. I like Fannett. Lots of good players and one of the best coaching staffs around. Kennebew is an up and comer, Knowles is the experienced old coach, and Robertons is the wily veteran.
  15. Yea...threw for a whopping 38 yards last night. My take is that LCM can't throw at all and they finally figured that out. Result was a much more competitive game.
  16. What kind of clown forgets Silsbee? If everyone plays, I have them at 1. If Miller doesn't, they are 3.
  17. I'll bite on a local top 10: 1. West Brook 2. United 3. PA Memorial 4. Nederland 5. HF 6. Bridge City 7. Lumberton 8. East Chambers 9. PNG 10. Kountze ***if Beaumont kid is cleared.
  18. I heard Miller to A&M early was a thing again.
  19. Look out for Bridge City. Cards blasted Nederland recently and then Nederland beat PA Memorial. This group might be better than the one that went four rounds deep a few years back. Maybe they'll be the first team in a while to push Silsbee.
  20. From all accounts, that was a much better showing by the Bears. Staff adjusted the offense to basically just running the ball. Players showed some resilience and toughness by coming back. I like the call going for the win.
  21. That's pretty cool. How does he compare to Jordan Adams and Devin Mccain? I know Harris is really good and going to Memphis is a much better basketball school than where they went, but I feel like I heard a lot more about those guys when they were at silsbee.
