One great season does not make a great program. LCM is a tough place to win and Bear fans are finally starting to see it. Yalls softball team may be the only good program in the school this year. I know that I'm a jerk, but they guy calling a kid by name a horrible player should be ashamed. You clearly have an agenda and that needs to be deleted.

Every high school team in the country is practicing Monday so let's pump the brakes. With that said, even I think LCM beats BC...and fairly easily at that.

Ashton Landry was also very good. And Amir Washington. I believe players are more important to success than coaches, but the two go hand in hand. @setxathlete14 I would like an answer to the question. What has Peevey done to make things so much better at LCM? These facts may have already been presented, but I must have missed them. I will say that the loyalty the man has inspired with some on here is impressive.

I agree that this loss doesn't tank your season. I agree that you are what your record is, but his has progressively dropped at two different places. Personally, I think the Morris kid is more responsible for LCM success than anyone. He was really good. Enlighten me on what he's changed and done to make things so much better for all of LCM. I'll hang up and listen.

You guys keep saying Peevey has changed the culture and turned LCM athletics around. I see turf and one good football season. I also see a growing reputation of breaking rules and a nosedive for baseball. Girls sports are good, but weren't they always? I think it's a lot of fluff and little substance that you're being sold.

Coaching has more to do with getting your players to play hard and play disciplined than it dies with wearing a headset. More important than x and o. Much more important than opening doors for elementary kids.

I think I nailed it with my prediction on this one. Seems to be some Bear fans finally questioning their almighty coaching staff. Better figure it out quickly. Your next opponent had a coach who's NEVER lost.

Why would you not play a talented team that is 10 minutes down the road? That's how you get better. Dropping this game would be an admission that LCM cannot compete and would be embarrassing. I'm no LCM fan, but they competed with the Mustangs the last two years and should continue to. Dodging them is a pitiful take on things.

I have no issues with the kids at LCM and I don't think its offensive to say they don't have any playmakers. I'm sure someone will step up in the course of the season, but none of the LCM fans have jumped in with names. I certainly won't bash an individual kid if you do. Any big time guys? Anyone being recruited? If so, I haven't heard of them.

It's simple. Transfer the right way without any shady business and you get cleared. That's such a tired complaint. This game will be simple too. WOS has a couple playmakers, LCM doesn't have any. WOS kids expect to win, LCM kids don't and typically go over there terrified. For LCM to have any shot, Peevey has to be as good as he says he is and Hickman has to be as bad as the WOS people say he is. Both feelings are ultra exaggerated. Mustangs win big!

This is a big and much needed win for the Cardinals! At the same time a sobering loss for the Cats though.

What's the story here? No way BC and their all American lost to PNG fair and square. Officials must have been awful!

Don't be so sensitive. That scrimmage will help yall in big games like Hardin Jefferson and Splendora.

I don't think it will happen, but LCM is only two years removed from a season like that. Kudos to LCM for scrimmaging PNG. That's how you get better.

No way they only win one or two games with BC and HJ on the schedule. Not to mention the district is Charmin soft besides Lumberton and Vidor. But your prediction leads me to this. Would a 2-8 or 3-7 record cause the Peevey fan boys/brother in laws to question their devotion? What is the expectation and what is "not good enough?"

I heard that in the past no one would go to the Rusk football games. To solve the problem, they started doing Friday night field trips from the local mental institution to the football games and now the atmosphere is wild. Like Mr. Barrier said...buckle up! *heard that from a coworker.

Last year LCM went down to the Reservation and whipped the Indians. Result? The Bears of South Oak Cliff have to share their state title with the Bears of LCM.

Both won state I believe as players so that's a draw. Wilkins has been to a regional tournament as a coach.

None of what you've said is wrong, but would you be surprised if I said Jason Wilkins has gone farther in the playoffs than Clay Davis ever has?

They definitely all try to pull in kids from other schools. I think maybe others are smoother and quieter about it, though. This kid leaving mid season and showing up at the cross town school the next day is just a bad look. Bad on the kid as well. Doesn't seem like a very loyal kid. If I were the WOS coach I wouldn't allow him to play.

So take your best freshmen players and put them on your cross town rivals sidelines unsupervised? Seems like a way to get your best kids snagged. My coworker said the LCM head coach used to pick up the WOS kid and bring him to LCM workouts while the kid was enrolled in WOS still.

West Orange coaches are recruiting LCM ball boys? I bet the UIL isn't too concerned with that.
