United had 2230.5 enrollment last alignment and cutoff was 2224. They barely slipped into 6A. Huge difference between them and probably 80% of their district in enrollment and athletes. They’re doing fine on non district schedule. I have a feeling they’ll have a chance to go 5A D1 after this year it’ll be a mute point on non district scheduling. Some things are out of their control like travel budget.

Over the years coaching has been suspect at all Beaumont schools. This is the best coaches they’ve had. WB- Alex Durley (best coach). later years with Stump and guy that went to LCM Central- Sedberry or Foreman Ozen- Probably Louis United ?

In all honesty, Beaumont needs to build United a new school to start with. I never understood once they closed Central why they sending kids from Bigner and Magnolia all the way to Fannett Road. Crazy

This is a PNG/United thread, but to answer your question, I don’t think BH has played Beaumont schools. Of course in the last 4-5 years we’ve grown a lot compared to 10 years ago. I get it, I would be frustrated too if my team went 0-10 last year.😎

United has lost the last 3 meetings with PNG. PNG makes it 4 in row. Actually been a decade since Ozen,Central, or United has beat the Indians.

Who cares about your current district. Nobody cares, I’m talking about United and West Brook if they drop down to 5A. we got plenty of state championships my man. Open your eyes up past football and basketball. We can compare overall state championship in a number of sports if you want to go that route. Heck, we can even talk about education too if that tickles your fancy, but I don’t think you want that smoke.😂😎

Soulja I’ve been around as long if not longer then you. I just can’t get into my old account. Lol United is a poor man’s Cental. United wouldn’t beat BH, Crosby, PAM, or probably even LaPorte or Porter. Stick to basketball.😂

By who United? That’s comical Soulja and you know it. I know it’s hard for you to think area 5A teams are just as good as the Beaumont schools, but it’s true. You try to talk about the district that your in as an excuse, but what was the excuse when you could (every now and then)barely beat mid county schools? I’ll wait……

Again, not talking about current district, I’m talking current football teams of United and WB. Yes, they would lose still, just not by 45 points. United wouldn’t sniff the playoffs in 5A and WB would struggle to get 4th.

Last year BH had like 7 turnovers against MW. This year I think we had like 3. IMO, BH is further along after week 1 this year. I think the only week they may struggle is at Crosby because BH usually struggles at Crosby.

Beaumont United hardly won any games at 5A level. What you smoking. Central had a couple decent years. Oxen got curb stomp almost every year. Your only hope would be West Brook. They struggle with Memorial, I would say BH, Crosby, and even LaPorte would go toe to toe with WB right now. WB is the only school that would have a chance for top 4. Btw, I played at WB when they still were good in football, but they’ve hit rock bottom in Beaumont and that’s facts. Nobody discrediting their current district. But Beaumont aren’t on the same planet as the top 3-4 schools in their current district.

At this point WB and United would struggle at 5A D1. The only option is one HS

Also, not sure what West Fork took from New Caney. I think they’re still underclassmen.

Remember we have a starting LB out right now. They switched a DB that was having tough go of it. I liked the in game adjustments, BH going to make some noise this year.

BH dominated the game probably should’ve won by 4 TD’s. A lot of positives against a mediocre team. Areas to work on is QB needs to either step in pocket and run or throw it away. He’s holding on to the ball too long. The secondary is shaky, but noticed they changed DB’s mid way through game. BH shots themselves in the foot a couple times with turnovers. RB’s looked good, WR’s did well, O line looked great and defensive front was good. Missing our stud LB right now. I have a feeling BH will go toe to toe with PAM. That will be for district title.
