1. Tell us how you feel there Natural Beauty!  :D Great screen name by the way. I think the defense has earned a lot of respect this year from the Bronco faithful and the many stunned opponents. After Sat. night that respect will grow even more.

As far as the homers on here who refuse to acknowlege the Bronco superiority, well....it's an internet message board. Don't let 'em get under your skin. It'll mess up the Natural Beauty!  ;D

i think PN-G has a good chance at beating manvel if their defense comes to play
If PNG's defense shows up, they have a chance, cuz Manvel turns the ball over alot.  At the same time, they are very fast and athletic.  They have an aggressive defense, and an offense that can score quick if they avoid turnovers.  I think it would be a really good game.

How did the Manvel/Brenham scrimmage turn out?
  3. I'm still not convinced that the level of competition is any better in 20-4A. Just because there is parity in the triangle doesn't really mean much. If you look at playoff results over the last couple of years, the two districts are pretty close. I'm not just talking about games against each other (19 vs 20), but playoff longevity on the whole.

Yes the Dayton scores, when we were in the same district were generally closer. (except for a couple of blowouts) but that's no reflection on this year's Bronco team. If you lined up all the teams from each district I suppose 20-4A might have the slight edge. But the top 4 from each district are pretty close I think. Guess this weekend's results will settle the argument.

  4. "We're gonna need you to get your crap together Hawkeye. This is playoff time and there is little room for error. One more mistake and we're turning you over to Tyrone for discipline."

PLEASE NO!! Anything but that! I'm shakin it boss! Shakin the bush boss!!!  :D :D

I'm printing off all brackets for all classifications right now! Flipping screens back and forth just ain't gettin it. Too many dang teams in the playoffs now-a-days!

Just noticed that the perennial playoff contender "Smithson Valley" has dropped to 4A this year too. Div. 2 at that!
Smithson Valley is D1, not D2.
Your absolutely right. I keep getting my D1 and D2 brackets mixed up for some reason. Let me get a second cup of coffee.

I usually don't pay much attention to the other regions until playoff time. What are some other 5A teams that dropped this year? I got Cedar Park, Smithson Valley, Humble, Baytown Lee, Stratford. What about Tyler?

All I can say is good luck to Central. If y'all beat GP (which I believe you will easily) then it's the winner of Stratford/Humble then on to Friendswood. If your able to edge the Mustangs then it's Montgomery or Dawson/Angelton. And after all that you get rewarded in the semis with LT or Tivy! No rest for the weary!
Man, that has to offer some hope for ya!  Geeze!  So what your really saying is, enjoy one win, because it's the last.   :o
No..only you would say something like that. I said good luck to Central.

Joe Duff is playing really well, he is as good as Rip IMO, just not as big.

No doubt! That kid has a motor that never runs out of gas. He reminds me of #32 (Jenkins) last year. Not the tallest kid in the world, but freakishly strong and plays with a ton of heart and desire. Course playing with alot of heart is a Bronco trademark.  ;)

Okay I gotta know if anyone else saw this play. It was early in the game, first quarter I think. Broncos have the ball and they're driving. Somewhere around mid field. King is lined up in their 4-3 defense. Herrera drops back to pass and all the Dayton offensive lineman step back to pass block. Then the magic happens.....all the O-linemen, at the same exact time drop down low and take out the legs of the King line. The whole defensive line dropped to the ground like a curtain on a bad one-act play!

Herrera then completes a 15 yd. pass over the middle for a first down. I'm telling you it was a thing of beauty! I don't know if Wadzeck or Hamilton said anything on the radio, but you could hear me hollering! I've never seen anything like it. I was sitting behind one of the offensive lineman's Dad, and he heard me commenting on the play. He said they had practiced that to help the QB be able to see better. Say what?

The coaching of the offensive and defensive lines has always been superb. But this was just flat out showing off! :D That one play was worth the price of my ticket.
I guess nobody saw this play I was talking about? Man it sure was special. Hey Toups, did you happen to see this play on the video?

So yall don't think Livingston will give you a battle?
On the contrary! I said more than once on here that I think the Lions will play a tough game. If it's anything like the 2008 game, Livingston will gain their yardage and they will score. But the Bronco D will keep them in check enough to allow our offense to build a lead. I think the key for a Dayton victory will be to slow down the lion offense and most of all, NO BIG PLAYS! If they score too quickly, it could be upset city.

Don't forget Highland Park over in Region 2... they're sitting at 10-0 and are always in contention for that Region
Yea I was talking about Div. 1, but you're right. I can definitley see Highland Park vs. Aledo in the Div. 2 semis.

A BH fan and an NDN fan are talking one day when the BH fan says

"Here's to the Bald-Headed Eagle a wise and wonderful bird.  It gathers its food in Mount Belvieu and at the Reservation it poops its turds.

    The NDN fan replies

"Here's to the Reservation, where the land is so fertile and rich. We need no turds from your wonderful bird the bald-headed SOB!!!"
