  1. Great dominating game by the Broncos.Game was not that close.Dayton iced it with a long run by Cameron La Cour.Cody proved last night he can perform under pressure and we saw alot of smiles and high fives from Nebraska scouts near us.The last 1/2 of the 4th quarter Dayton conceded not to run it up by substituting other players and Brenham(out of the game scoring wise)Took advantage, scored then kicked a onside kick w/5 sec.left.I do not know what Stewart had to say after the handshaking but I am sure he probably said a few words about it.All the trash talking that Brenham did all night should have made for a quiet bus ride home.Playoff time do not stop scoring.Lake Travis and others do not stop.Chron.com must have been mixed up on games as they had Dayton w/15- 1st downs & Brenham w/18.Anyway congadulation's to the Broncos and their 2nd.back to back semi-finals game.

I think your way off base on this one liltex. You can't blame a team for trying to score even when the game is out of reach. I thought Brenham handled themselves with class and kept playing to the end. And as far as the trash talking, it could have happened but I didn't see it. I would hope the Broncos would do the same if they were in that position.

  2. I feel your pain knightrider! I was fortunate enough to make last nights game. Earlier in the week I thought I was gonna be "stuck" at work. The stars lined up for me. Hang in there for the state championship game though!

As far as predictions for the Tivy game, I'm gonna have to hold off a couple of days and check this team out. Does anybody know where I can get some stats/scores on this team? I saw the prep insider game scores, but I need box scores and video clips!! The San Antonio online paper is not real helpful.

  3. Hey check this out. So me and my buddy are sitting at the Cracker Barrell enjoying our meal, which tasted even better after watching the mighty Broncos spank Brenham, when the waitresses started scurrying around. They were obviously getting ready for a large group all around our table. I asked what all the fuss was about and she said a football team was coming to eat. Now of course my first thought was: this couldn't get any better, region 3 champs again, and we get to have dinner with my favorite team! But alas no. You can imagine my disappointment when in walks you know who....the Brenham Cubs!

So here we are, me and my buddy, all decked out in our purple Bronco apparel, surrounded by 70 or so players and coaches from the "other side." After a few casual and polite "good game" comments, another thought crossed my mind. This situation is a whole lot more comfortable after a Bronco victory! Thank you for another great effort Broncos!

I have to point out, that out of all the Brenham folks, there was not one negative comment or even a dirty look. They carried themselves with a lot of class. Oh and check this out, every player on the team was wearing black pants, a green suit jacket, and a green tie! Pretty classy I thought. Congratulations to Brenham on a great season. And again, way to go Broncos!! All the hard work by the players and the coaches is paying off big time!!!

  4. I think they will wear em' down. I'm sure coach Stewart has a plan for that.  One thing about these 2008 Broncos is, they seem to rise up to adversity better than some teams in the past. Just when you think their offense is out of sync or the defense is a little loose, then BAM! The D stuffs em and the offense explodes. The last two playoff games for example. I'll see you all at the game!! All 5000+ ??

    GO BRONCOS!!!!

  5. I tend to agree with you bandgeek. I think this Terry defense is pretty stout. If they're able to take away the run and force the Broncos into passing for first downs, it could spell trouble. Couple that with the possibility of rain or a wet field, and we could have a low scoring affair. I still think Dayton is the better team and should win this ball game. I just won't be surprised if we don't hit our scoring average of 40+.

One thing that puzzles me about Terry is that 21 - 7 loss to Bay City. ??? ???
