Yep, Bellville defense has probably given up the fewest points in the State this year and the offense has probably scored the most points in the State. Seems to be working well.
-
Will be an interesting matchup for sure. Willis has 10 confirmed D1 players. Would not surprise me to see Willis win this one.
-
Neither one of them will be making the playoff in 3AD1 to 4AD1. Move makes no sense.
-
Yep, supposed to tell the RBs to stop and take a knee after 10 yds and "not run into the endzone". If you score too quick you put your defense in a bad position where they give up 6 pts per game with 7 shutouts in 12 games.

Jasper has a better chance at Cuero than HF did. Jasper has better athletes and could have mounted a serious charge at the District Championship. If Jasper has fully rounded into form, they may win this game.

Are you sure that CardinalBacker is not the true "guru"?

Actually "WE" agree that Bellville is prepared for Silsbee offense because BV has better and more physical players than Silsbee. BV defense will field the single best player on the field and Silsbee will have no answer. Silsbee defense will likewise be ill-prepared for BV superior physicality and discipline. Silsbee LBs will be lost trying to figure out which RB to key vs the Gs. While being lost in confusion the more powerful BV OL will be blasting them into the turf. The only question is whether Silsbee can play better than they did against Sealy/WOS and offer a competitive game with Bellville.

Just running "5 plays". All the other teams have to do is "stack the box". Should not be an issue.

Carthage is very young this year with many sophomores. This is the year to catch them, but I still think it is unlikely. Forget it after this year.
-
I misunderstood. That should keep BC in D2.
-
His post on Twitter states 990
-
What was the BC enrollment? Padilla is predicting the D2/D1 cut to jump up to 990
-
Making up stuff now. Said Carthage will win it for the next 3 years. This particular game is probably the best chance for them to lose.
-
Yep, that is all Silsbee has to do is stack the box. Every team BV played this year has defensive coaches that know the same thing. In fact, they all tried to do it. All Bellville has to do bash Silsbee into oblivion like they did to all the teams that Silsbee struggled with. Smash them on the line of scrimmage and run straight over them. Then overwhelm the Silsbee offense with physicality. It is Bellvilles game to lose.

Agree 100%

Agree 100%

The confidence primarily stems from Silsbee struggling with WOS and Sealy, while BV beat both into the stone age.
-
Not sure on the score. I suspect that Bellville will win with the game in hand by the 4th QTR. However, it would not shock me for Silsbee to win the game.
-
Understood. "Being objective", the only common opponents they have are WOS and Sealy. Overwhelming edge Bellville.
-
I dont doubt that. However, the current WOS program went 4 QTRs with Silsbee this year.
-
Which team scores more on offense and which team holds opponents to less on defense? It is not close. BV may have the best defense in the state. Not sure why you think Silsbee will not be stopped? Also, not sure why you think Silsbee offense is better than BV? BV has scored more points by a great margin. WOS kept Silsbee in check, WOS not capable of being on the same field with BV.
-
I don't disagree.
-
Understood, just applying the same logic. I did not see anyone responding to the previous by saying: "you make it sound like Silsbee is IMG Academy". No one has a problem with it as long as it is promoting Silsbee.
-
So, "Vidor Slot T" prepared Silsbee for Bellville? and all of the spread teams that Bellville shut out did not prepare Bellville? Would love for someone to find the evidence of Bellville defense not being prepared for anything. BV defense gave up a total of 62 points in 12 games. Bellville offense averaging 56 pts/game. BV defense averaging 5 pts/game. FYI, "there is nothing about practicing the spread every week that will prepare Silsbee for what's coming".

It is not "by a mile", this is the best chance for Carthage to lose this year. PG is loaded.
