Carthage is 4AD2 because of their enrollment but make no mistake that they would win 4AD1 going away. As far as the WOS fans go, there is endless transcript of who they blame. Everyone can read it easily enough. Check out WOS/HF thread for a good example.

Yes. There is no area or angle where WOS has an advantage over Carthage. Carthage is superior in all metrics including difficulty of schedule and talent. WOS locals will blame the coaches after the game.

WOS is an odd front team. They have based out of odd all season.

Yes, WOS coaches did not become "competent" or "smart", "all of a sudden". The program has been rounded into form with the same quality coaching that has been present and in practice since Day 1.

Congratulations to Coach HH and the entire staff for representing SETX and 9-4AD2. Coaches have stuck to their process and now that they have better talent they have achieved higher results. Coaches have produced high level game plans and made strategic in game adjustments as they have since they took over at WOS. Now, all roads lead to Carthage who have a better player at nearly every position other than MLB and possibly a DL spot. Friday's outcome will not be the result of incompetent coaching, and it will most definitely not be because WOS ran a "50 defense" instead of a "50 defense". Regardless of the final result Coaches and WOS players have done a great job and even more so given the poison from segments of the fan base.

Was mainly looking at 4A and 3A though I did glance at them all. I was in a hurry and did not study them long. I did not note Regions in 5AD1. If we dont hear any news by Monday, I will check again.

Not sure about this. I have been told New Caney ISD intends to keep all their schools together and will have them opt up if they land outside the cut.

Very obvious why each of the three schools "opt up" and it is common knowledge that they are fleeing for an easier pathway. They acknowledge it openly and it makes a mockery of the process.

I think that all of 9-4A DII should "opt up". Would give us a chance to have a 4A State Champion and cross out the teams who opt up for no reason other than they are scared. Opting up would get our schools away from Carthage in the State Championship. Hopefully UIL will crack down on the "opt up" scam.

February is when the district alignments are announced. The cutoffs should come this week.
