What plays do you think the coaches should call? 200 series? 300 series? 100s? Which plays do they not call?

Tatum QB is a spectacular athlete. He is going to play LB at LA Tech.

They are not 1-3. Tatum lost to Center and Daingerfield. the Pitt game was called for weather with Tatum leading. Tatum then beat West Rusk. Center and DF would likely run Lumberton off the field and Tatum took them both to the wire.

Honestly believe the top 4 teams in the district can finish in any position 1-4. This is why we play the games and they are beginning this week.

Understood. I am well acquainted with Kilgore. They definitely do not have the best defense in 4A. Pittsburgh is horrible and is not a good reference. However, I am aware that Carthage should get better but they started out much better last year and they are not currently operating at the gap between the competition that they normally have. They are the favorites but currently look within sight of teams like Silsbee.

Agreed. We all know what he inherited. Dayton was the bottom feeder of the District for a decade. It is undeniable that the program is light years beyond where it was when he got there.

Understood. Where does your obsession with running down the most effective coaching staff that Dayton has had for a decade+ come from? You keep saying Dayton is loaded with athletes when they have less than last year. Your incorrect assertion of the current talent level is fueling your off base comments. The best case scenario this year for Dayton is to hold serve with last year (maybe get a good 1st round matchup) but next year and the next few years they will contend for the District title and make some good runs. And that will be the best run Dayton has had in many years.

What do you think a coach should do when a player mishandles a onside kick during a game? Tell him not to mishandle the kick? Replace him with someone who has not practiced at that spot?

Which coaches specifically “quit coaching”? Did they leave the field or sit down on the sidelines?
