  1. Yep, the other teams in the district love it.
  2. Also, some of the guys exercise poor vocabulary and are unable to put together a complete sentence which leaves others trying to understand what they were attempting to communicate.
  3. Hampton went back to DF. Carthage did pick up the Freshman Starting RB from Shelbyville and incoming Freshman RB from Pine Tree.
  4. Understood. The conversation began with folks saying PNG should be ranked ahead of LH. The reply was listing the reason/logic why LH was ranked higher. Many folks have applied a set of logic for PNG and something different for LH. For those who want to detract from LH body of work and success as if PNG is something better, is silly. PNG won the game last year convincingly. To say that LH not having their best players did not make a difference is nonsense. LH offense and defense is predicated on successfully running the ball. If RB1 and RB2 are not available, it impacts the whole game. all of the mentioned factors are why LH is currently ranked higher than PNG. BTW, I happily pull for PNG.
  5. Or how their kids act at school/practice.
  6. Crosby may have been "capable". However, LH beat the breaks off Crosby. Maybe LH could have used their 2 best players (RBs on a "running" team) against PNG last year?
  7. No is disputing that PNG could stop LH without LH two best players in one game last year. PNG nowhere to be found in any year prior. Maybe they can replicate it again this year and take a shot at LH at full strength (like when LH curb stomped superior teams that previously curb stomped PNG).
  8. Probably include Wimberly. Jasper might be a threat also.
  9. Ironically the year before last, LH beat Crosby 42-14 in the State Semi-Final who beat PNG 69-28. Just curious if Crosby had any good OL that year? Seems like LH handled them well and the alleged "superior" Region. Also wonder if LH (being a running team) was adversely impacted by losing their top 2 RBs?
  10. Definitely in that one game. Unfortunately, PNG has not been good enough to meet LH in the playoffs before last year
  11. They have been stopping “massive O-Lines” for decades
  12. I am not saying that you have to "like it", just explaining "why". Good thing is that they will have a chance to prove the rankings wrong starting in a couple of months.
  13. LH is ranked higher based on their track record and what they have back for the upcoming year. PNG (at the moment) is a good story but has not shown longevity as LH.
  14. Got it. Understanding that "last year" means "nothing", LH on a year in year out basis is better than PNG. For now the safe bet is LH.
  15. Understood. Will the exact same players be playing again? Which program has done better in the last 20 years? Which program has a better track record in similar circumstances (aware the PNG won last year when LH did not have their RBs)?
  16. Why?
  17. Are they scrap helmets? Dont know the circumstances but it doesnt sound like a big deal.
  18. Exactly. Who knows what is going on, they are probably taking a break and waiting to get it all straight before football.
  19. With 1000% certainty, I can guarantee you that every coach in Crosby is laughing as well. Probably be remembering him for years to come when they are telling old stories.
  20. You need to go to another program. You can tell them how much you know and "what good football is supposed to look like". Be sure to tell the coach that won the state championship "doesnt know what good football looks like". I bet they will love to have you around. Have you already looked at housing in a new district?
  21. Did you get the PAPF sign off commitment? You could be a "blessing" to another coaching staff somewhere else.
  22. Really not many "good situations" in rural schools these days. With coaches/teachers/admins struggling to meet staffing demands and government mandates it has created a volatile situation industry wide.
  23. You would be one of the ones in the community that sabotage the coaches before they ever get started. They hired to Coach Willis to "get the job done" and empowered him (as they should) to do his job. You did not want before you ever knew a thing about him because of his age saying that they should not hire a 60 year old coach (which you were wrong about). I expect you will be against anything he does without consulting with you first.
  24. Agreed, except the group they have in the pipeline now is likely the greatest collection they have ever had. The team that lost to CS was not in the same solar system as this group. The only way they lose in the next 3 years is if they play up when they set their next "pre-district" schedule after the next alignment. They will not lose to a 4A team.
  25. Where do you see it shaking out?
