It would make sense for you to pump the breaks on this one. You have and the rest have been wrong about many things lately and as we learn more about this matchup, we can see that no one in their right mind would pick Tatum to win. Lumberton appears to be a legit force in 4AD1. However, given the recent performance of Newton, we can all give pause to jumping to conclusions based on size differential alone.

This was one where I was definitely wrong. Newton must be legit. Wondering about how good Woodville may be.

They look like they are doing well. Might be one of the best teams they have ever had.

Tatum folks believe they are going to win this game. Tatum has a RG/DL that is committed to Arizona State that will be a load. Dont know much about Lumberton but I expect Lumberton to outman them overall.

"The records irrelevant"? The record is the "only thing that is relevant". I have never seen "yards between tackles" on a coach's record. If WOS makes a deep playoff run, there will be no memory of the "yards between the tackles" in week 2 and 3.

No idea "why change it". Seems like they have a decent record. PNG is also a decent team capable of beating a smaller school. Are you saying WOS coaches are less knowledgeable than the fanbase? Novices? Dont know defenses? Perhaps they know the exact depth and ability of particular positions? Do they have more LBs? Less DLs? or vice versa? They see the kids practice. I wouldnt be surprised if the "yards between the tackles" changed throughout the year.

Got it. We both "question what we question". Just trying to figure out if the players are still lining up on DL and LB. What part of it is different that they cannot figure it out? Also, what is their record? Has WOS ever lost a game to a larger school in the past? Still ended up good?

Just in case the new coach "doesnt know anything about defense" and "just started coaching this year", where exactly do you believe the kids are "lining up that they do not know how to play"? Did something change for MLBs? Did filling the gaps change? OLBs? Did something change for the DTs? Are they still playing 5, 4i? 0,1,2 or 3? Do they not know how to play the new positions? DBs still covering WRs? Did they forget how to cover WRs? Or did the new coach tell them not to cover WRs? What "system" is he running that is "not proven"? All defenses are successful when the players execute.

If Newton could not beat Woodville, they cannot beat WOS. WOS will win this comfortably.

He went to Texas. Played WR. Was always a hill "too tall" for us to climb in football and basketball. SFA was the class of the district in both sports.

Heard the 8th grade at Newton is very good with a great RB. Center current 8th grade group has never lost a game. As far as JH games go, this will be a fun one.

Back to back shutouts. Time for everyone to start complaining about the new defense.

Odd vs Even front is not "rocket science". The coaches do not need to "see" anything, and the kids could care less what front they are running. Fronts can be changed frequently depending upon personnel. Seems like if WV was shut out, WOS defense looked decent. Fans need to "pump the brakes" on looking for a failure.
