If WV continues to sink it is because the little league coaches failed to supply the high school with sufficient talent to win. Might be time to get some new coaches in the little league.

How do you know? Do you have information on the coaches who switch jobs that do not have kids that play? Coaching is a volatile business where you can be fired as soon as the right local gets offended. Coaches should do whatever they feel is best for them and their families. **I once saw a coach take his team to a state championship game for the first time in school history only to have community turn on him and question his coaching ability. He promptly left for greener pastures. There are two kinds of coaches: coaches who have "been fired" and coaches who will "be fired".

Has happened both ways. Many people would rate Chavis McCollister among the greatest high school players of all time. Yet, he received little to no college interest.

What colleges do is not relevant to high school performance. I could give you a list of players holding D1 offers that are borderline pathetic.

It will not matter what Newton lost up front. WV will be non-competitive.

Hardin will beat the brakes off WV. WV is about to be a dumpster fire. Fortunately, outside of Newton and Hardin, the district is utterly pathetic.

So, it takes "talent" to win? and "special talent" to win big?

He did. Jasper situation is no secret. Sometimes coaches take jobs based upon future projections and not what is immediately possible.

Who said anything about coaching ability? Pretty certain the post was regarding “talent level”. He may very well have “several programs in the playoffs” in the future. 2026 football will not be one of them.

He wasn’t “impressed with the talent” for good reason. The 2027 class is horrible beyond all belief. He will need to weather the storm this coming year and try to get the foundation in place to build from in the future.

I imagine the AD got rid of him. Probably bringing in his people. Fairly normal.
