Rivalry games can make a difference. Having players ranked #1 in the nation at their position can also make a difference. Does DP have any of those type players?

Surprised that LP is favored. Seems like the toughest game they will have this year. I would have thought Kingwood to be the heavy favorite.

Setxfan has stated the reason you lost to Gunter was because of the coaches and he has also stated that WV needed new coaches after last year. He is also running the current coaches down now.

He has multiple D1 offers. He is on varsity. The only school that ever had a JV player with "offers" is Woodville when their QB led WV to a share of the JV "District Championship".

Younger brother is in 9th grade. Also has "major offers".

About the same as it has been for Spring ISD in the last few decades. Nothing changed. King is a little better this year

Yes OF has two of the three best players in the District and was always going to win this game. WV lost several key players from last year. No one should have though WV would beat OF in this game if they knew the rosters.

Yes, 1985 Yates = 5A (biggest classification at the time). 3A teams are very seldom better than the best of the large schools. If you know nothing of 1985 Yates, you are likely not versed on high school football in Texas.

Probably going to go ahead and add this round to the list of things where "I am was right, and you were wrong". FYI, WV does not have the same talent level that they had last year. Still likely to make the playoffs.
