Which means you can't prove anything if you don't know anything! 😂😂😂 The question will be asked and answered by whoever to whomever and the answer will always be according to the rules 🤷♂️. So why bother?
-
We were discussing varsity players and the fact that he didn't play varsity proves Coach Rideaux and HF is following the rules. Also last time I checked, you don't play 1 on 5 in basketball. So apparently there are several players on that JV team that has some talent.
-
My point is what does it do for you on a personal level to investigate it? If the kid transfers under the approved guidelines why keep questioning it? Why try and cause trouble for them when the same isn't being done at other schools? My thing is mind your own business and leave these kids alone. Enjoy the game or stay home. That's your choice, but trying to hinder a child from accomplishing their dream is a dick move.
-
I find it very disturbing when adults try and hinder the success of children because they have a problem with another adult. Just go and enjoy the games ,congratulate the kids on their success, and be proud when some of them graduated with an offer to play at the next level. Who cares if Coach Rideaux gets some credit or accolades. It's about allowing kids the opportunities that they possibly wouldn't have at another school. To try and stop that makes you the lowest of the low and a completely selfish.

Lol, no it can't as there's nothing to prove. So I guess kids transfering to HJ and other schools is acceptable, but not HF? That shows a direct hate by a few for the coach there, because no one says Coach Davis is cheating when a Beaumont kid transfers there or to East Chambers. Because they aren't cheating! Kids want to go there for a better opportunity over BISD schools who are under staffed in the classrooms.
-
Players go were there is a good coach and program. Your not giving the kids enough credit as that's really how programs are formed. They talk to each other as well as play on the same AAU teams during the summer. They judge the coaches between themselves and discuss where they are going. The top players make the decisions while the others follow. I can tell you for a fact that HFs two guards have played on the same AAU team since 3rd grade. Many of the players in this area do the same. As long as they abide by UIL rules regarding transfers, then there's no problem. HF is an open enrollment district also 🤷♂️. So the trend may continue with younger players wanting to play high school together. That's not cheating at all, just a testament to HF hiring the right guy who will attract talent. This summer, players will be talking again as they do every summer, just this time a new school and coach will be in the conversation.
-
We are in agreement on that! The new players this year and next year would have been at HF, they just didn't have a Coach they all believed could get them to the next level 🤷♂️
-
Someone else would be there to put it back 🤷♂️. It was an offensive rebound, not a 3 point shot or mid range bucket 😂. The guys I mentioned changed the make up of the team and how you have to defend them.
-
Lol ok 😂. Believe that! Teams have to account for JP and game plan accordingly which opens up opportunities for others. Having him and RJ, two guards that can get to the track, forces you to clog the lane which opens up for shooters. Take him off the team and all you have to do is stop RJ from driving and guard the shooters. It's hard for any team to account for 3-4 scorers with different skill set unless you have athletes across the board.

Their JV played them and won that tournament, not the varsity. My point was their pipeline is pretty strong right now.
-
You must be his #1 hater 🤷♂️😂
-
HJ don't have JP from Beaumont Harmony science Academy they lose to HF twice and get demolished by Silsbee twice along with a few other loses that were wins because of him. EC doesn't go to state last year without Ceasar from Beaumont or the 6'4 kid from high Island who both transferred in a year apart from each other. If BISD doesnt get caught up in misconduct and Central and Ozen dont combine, alot of area schools have very different seasons the past few years. 😂
-
Did they, a 5A school, loose to HF jv at the deweyville tournament that HF jv won? Again I stand corrected, it was the deweyville Tournament.
-
Did they lose to HF JV? 🤷♂️
-
One at ULL, he just was more highly rated as a football player
-
Ozen was ranked right behind them in state 😂. They were stacked too! Nederland had some dogs of their own and could beat anyone on a given night. They just weren't as deep as Ozen and Central. Just like HF beat HJ, Silsbee, and Huffman on the court this year. Heck HF jv won the Dayton High school varsity tournament!
-
For some reason folks not getting that. I really know what the problem is, but am keeping it strictly within the frame of which many are arguing which is sports vs academics. The campus changed a bit this year and will change a little bit more with the success of both the football team and basketball team next year as kid who were perceived to live outside of the district are coming home due to various reasons, sports just being one part of it. BISD is a dumpster fire and the only reason any kid that attends a BISD high school versus HF which they are zoned for was purely for athletics. Now that is improving at HF because of good coaching hires. The underclassmen are coming home because academics are much better at HF.
-
That team was stacked!!! Had multiple D1 players on it
-
I said you were correct and corrected myself. He was there afterwards when Coach Lee ( My SP middle school coach 💪) left and Frank Paul took over.
-
Ozen wasn't even a varsity team until I was about to graduate 🤷♂️. It was still all about them Jags vs Bruins! The good ole days 💪
-
Yeah I corrected myself. They were supposed to give to back to back state appearances. That team should have won it all both times!
-
I played for Coach Green dude at Central. You on the outside looking in 😂😂😂. And I didn't say they transferred to play for a better coach as I think Coach Green is a high school HOF coach. They transferred BACK HOME BECAUSE THE SCHOOOOOLLLLL THEY ARE ZONED FOR FINALLY GOT A GOOD COACH. smh
-
Two were a freshman and the other didn't play at all at the school. Also they moved back to HF mostly because of the turmoil at BU. There are 15- 20 permanent or more subs at that school teaching core classes. For a young athlete or any kid looking to attend college, that's a death trap. BISD also cut off transfers within the district.
-
They went in 2014 dude. Smh I was wrong, they went to back to back regional tournament and won district consecutively.
-
Again you dont know basketball outside of the sticks apparently. A varsity team only has 12 uniforms. BU has a good 30 kids that could play varsity. Their JV would dominate both 4A districts in our area and make the playoffs in the 5A district. That's not even counting what they have on the freshman team 😂. Coach Green is an excellent Coach who has the great benefit of choosing from a pool of players that include some of the best in the state. He has well over 100 plus kids come out for tryouts and can pick from the best of best for varsity.
