  1. Does that mean no practice also?
  2. That is a good point.
  3. I don't think police departments around here have enough money just to waste on drones. But I could be wrong
  4. Hey hey! A post that has something besides just opinion! I'm gonna read it and do some research before answering. Where did you get the numbers? So I can go look at some other cities.
  5. [Hidden Content] She did what they asked, instead of calling the cops she went and asked for him to stop. Because we don't need police to enforce laws, no no no, we just need the community to talk to each other.
  6. I'm hoping otherwise, but you're probably right.
  7. If so they would be the only ones allowing sports when not doing face to face learning.
  8. OK so Beaumont ISD is going virtually for at least the first 3 weeks. Are they not allowing any athletics during that time like Houston ISD?
  9. Maybe refuted was the wrong word for me to use. He put forth an alternative theory that makes more sense to me, and he backs it up with experience and numbers. Give us more on your theory.
  10. I wish you would just back up your opinions, then we could really discuss them in detail. Who knows, maybe my assumptions are wrong, but you aren't really trying to get us to see your side of it so I don't know.
  11. In a court of law, when talking of crime, he would be considered an expert witness (which is why I said it in the first place). You say his numbers are off...based off what evidence? Also while he may not (or may be) an expert on sociology, being a trial lawyer should mean he knows more about it than the average person right? And you still did not back up your opinion.
  12. You gave a theory on why crime is bad in cities. He gave you an expert opinion (guy in article was a lawyer for 20 years) that refuted your theory. He's not asking you to summarize, he's asking you to back up your opinion with...anything that's not just conjecture.
  13. [Hidden Content] @Kountzer They were clearly identified as law enforcement
  14. No, proven, with, you know...facts.
  15. Didn't this already get proven to be Fake News?
  16. Let's hope for no bad storms this season.
  17. Ugh don't even say things like that!
  18. Thought they were all going to video learning? Like it was going to be a full day where the kids had most of the classes? Maybe I'm crazy though.
  19. I don't think any of them are doing that. Teachers are still going to be educating, just virtually. They are cashing our checks to educate our kids...not babysit them. As long as they are teaching then they should get paid. Just my two cents
  20. I think some of y'all are equating kids not physically in school to teachers not working. Teachers are going to be working no matter if it's face to face or not.
