  1. 1.Woodville 2. Shepherd/Diboll 3. Shepherd/Diboll 4. Crockett/Coldspring I think Woodville should be favored to win but the district will be tougher than people think. Diboll and Coldspring are normally DC contenders and Shepherd returns some key guys as they are dropping down from a tough 4A district. Crockett normally has athletes and things might shape up for their new coach now as he’s coming into his second year. I like Woodville’s scrimmages and predistrict schedule as it will have well prepared for district and playoffs long as we stay away from the injury bug. Eagles return a load of playmakers in the skill positions on offense along with 3 out of 5 OLine starters. I believe the coaches have 3 options at quarterback and I like all of them. I’d like to see Bean be able to play both ways if possible but if not I think the other 2 are capable also. Eagles return most of the key guys on defense too but will be missing a big part of the puzzle as MLB Traylor will be graduating. Hopefully someone can fill in. Top 5 in Region 3 in no particular order are: Columbus Lorena Anahuac Woodville Cameron Yoe
  2. That’s part of the problem but not “the” problem. Newton has less enrollment and Kountze doesn’t have much more. Then you got schools like Orangefield who compete pretty well against schools with twice the enrollment on the regular. Nobody in the district is twice the size of Warren
  3. Woodville starts 2 seniors, 2 juniors , and a sophomore.
  4. Looks like the young lions are getting better as the season progresses. We’ll see how the Eagles match up with them Friday
  5. HJ does look like they’re on a different level than everyone else in that district though.
  6. District games on the road are normally tougher than expected. Other than that the Eagles problems are normally too many turnovers, not enough rebounding from the bigs, and shooting as many (or more) 3 pointers as 2 pointers. If your shooting that many 3 pointers and not making at least 45% of them as a team on the regular then you can’t expect that to be a good recipe to win tough games.
  7. Congrats to the kid. Sure he’ll be getting more of those
  8. Rentacop, Zimmerman instigated that whole situation with a teenager who was minding his business. That’s the difference. Thank you guys for reminding me who I’m conversing with. Let me quit wasting my time
  9. Trayvon didn’t steal anything from George. What are you talking about?
  10. Not everyone that’s willing to make a little easy money selling weed to their peers is willing to deal with the hassle of selling cocaine to hardcore drug users. Although I haven’t yet looked at the numbers I’m willing to bet the crime rate went down at least a little after alcohol was legalized up until the cocaine era of the 80s. And yes the Mob still exist but they’re legit now. I guess technically you do have to label the young “unidentified” boy a criminal and a muderer too I guess but I don’t think it’s fair to define him by his tragic mistake. The kid did not intentionally set out to kill the victim. The victim attempted to run to avoid paying the “unidentified” kid for the drug exchange.. The “unidentified criminal”, then chased him down and attempted to tussle with him. I’m guessing this was probably an attempt to wrestle the money from him or something. The victim, who is said to have been on the wrestling team at the school, is said to have won the wrestling match and may have slammed the “unidentified criminal’s” head on the ground a few times. The “unidentified” kid then grabbed a sharp object and stabbed him. This case would probably be self defense in most people’s eyes as well as the court of law if an illegal substance were not involved. The judge might have realized this fact and also the fact that weed is legal in half the states and felt a little sympathy for the “unidentified” criminal. I’ve heard many stories like this and it normally doesn’t go well for the person in the “unidentified” criminals shoes? I wonder why the kid remains unidentified?
  11. RIP. It will feel strange not to have one of those magazines at the beginning of the season
  12. EC and Buna (if they are fully healthy) are the top 2 in my mind although they aren’t locks. Kountze, Woodville, and Anahuac will also compete for playoff spots. Newton might get in the mix also. District will be very competitive top to bottom
  13. There are certain prototypes most D1 schools are looking for. They generally like their Dline guys to be 6’4 with 4.8 speed. Looks like Jordan is listed at 6’1 with 4.9 speed which probably doesn’t make much of a difference in my opinion but a lot of recruiters try to stick to strict guidelines
  14. 6-2/270/4.9 40/4.2 shuttle/squats 640 plus. He’s definitely has D1 talent, possibly Power 5. If he doesn’t have D1 offers it’s probably because he hasn’t been marketed correctly or doesn’t have the right relationships
