  1. Correct but I was just responding to purpleeagle's reference to last year
  2. Possible. Franklin runs a simulare offense and has good backs. I don't think their Oline is as good as Newtons though. If our offense moves the ball like they did against Newton last year but finishes the drives with TDs this time I like our chances.
  3. Eagles for the dub 🦅
  4. That would be illegal I think
  5. I figured there weren't any this year. I think "world class" track star mentioned was a sophomore receiver with above average speed. Not world class though.
  6. The WR at QB leaves us one playmaker short out wide. He's also a good lead blocker in the little screen plays and what not. All that to put him in a position he has very little experience playing on the varsity level. Not that I think he's bad at QB. I just think we have a couple better options. I think he's a really good tight end/receiver and that's where he should stay
  7. Exactly. I wasn't there but I can say for sure we're not at the level we want to be yet. Not going to get there by pretending you've already arrived. Everyone knows the defense is solid because we have a couple studs on that side. There's a couple holes there too and there's definitely room for improvement though. Offensively you can't be anywhere close if your putting up goose eggs. There's nothing to be overly hyped about and nothing to be down about either. Just got some good reps in against a really good program. Hopefully it helps toward a great season.
  8. Was the scrimmage stopped early because of the rain?
  9. I don't think EC has any significant move ins this year. You could be right though
  10. Maybe a move in. I doubt it though
  11. Did he not participate last track season?
  12. Stangs will probably be too much for Woodville. Should be a good learning experience and set the tone for the level the eagles want to play on this year though. Hope the stangs can get something out of it as well. 🏈🦅
  13. Perrault is basically all by himself this year. But EC is still a well coached team with tradition so you can't completely count them out.
  14. Guess I'll have to look forward to seeing what he does durring bball season. He looked like a D1 prospect at receiver to me though
  15. Watch out for K-ville this year
  16. He's the top returning receiver. Not sure why they moved him to QB
  17. Heard the young QB moved. Not sure if Lloyd Evans moved. Surprised to not see Kam Wyatt listed. You know what's going on with all that?
  18. Maybe. Not real sure about that though
  19. Do you?
  20. EC vs Anuhuac and Buna at Newton are not automatic wins for EC and Buna. Could be a four way tie if those 2 lose and Woodville beats Kountze.
  21. Anahuac won with a buzzer beater
  22. 1.Woodville 2. Shepherd/Diboll 3. Shepherd/Diboll 4. Crockett/Coldspring I think Woodville should be favored to win but the district will be tougher than people think. Diboll and Coldspring are normally DC contenders and Shepherd returns some key guys as they are dropping down from a tough 4A district. Crockett normally has athletes and things might shape up for their new coach now as he’s coming into his second year. I like Woodville’s scrimmages and predistrict schedule as it will have well prepared for district and playoffs long as we stay away from the injury bug. Eagles return a load of playmakers in the skill positions on offense along with 3 out of 5 OLine starters. I believe the coaches have 3 options at quarterback and I like all of them. I’d like to see Bean be able to play both ways if possible but if not I think the other 2 are capable also. Eagles return most of the key guys on defense too but will be missing a big part of the puzzle as MLB Traylor will be graduating. Hopefully someone can fill in. Top 5 in Region 3 in no particular order are: Columbus Lorena Anahuac Woodville Cameron Yoe
  23. R.I.P Powerlifter
  24. Anahuac returns a lot I believe
  25. That’s part of the problem but not “the” problem. Newton has less enrollment and Kountze doesn’t have much more. Then you got schools like Orangefield who compete pretty well against schools with twice the enrollment on the regular. Nobody in the district is twice the size of Warren
