One of the turnovers was on special teams and another because the defense wasn’t prepared for EC to punt to be fair though

EC has four scores. 1 of them from a pic 6. 2 others after receiving the ball in the red zone after Woodville turnovers. The defense could do a little better but the offense isn’t doing them any favors with the turnovers

Almost got back within 7 before half with a couple big plays. Got stopped at the 1 yard line. Probably should have tried a field goal there but oh well. Let’s see if we can make some adjustments second half.

That last one was completely not necessary and that’s on the coaches for calling that play at that time. Too windy of a day for all that

Eagles have finally made it to the part of the season that really counts. Playoffs pretty much start here the way I see it. End district with EC and Anahuac. If we manage to win district we probably get Crockett first round. If we beat Crockett we probably get the winner of LRA/ Yoakum second round. Win the second round and you go down in history as far as Woodville football as concerned. Of course you want to keep competing and win as many games as possible after that. Should be a good game to start it all off this week. Go eagles 🦅

JV won 28-6 I believe. There’s 2 more games left in district. JV looks like they may be on the path to win district although Anahuac will probably be tough because they have a very good group of freshmen. 7th grade is still undefeated so far but EC will be really tough next week as they have some really talented kids at that level including another “Caesar” lol. 8th just took a disappointing loss to the toughest team at their level. They’ll probably finish second.

I hear the Crockett kids haven’t been too receptive to their new coach. Might have had a few key players quit. It should be between Coldspring and Diboll if Westwood doesn’t sneak up on anyone.

Looks like the guys at Hardin know Haynes’s offense pretty well. Good win for Hardin. This loss makes Kirbyville’s playoff hopes a little slim.
