I have to take Diboll in this one. I don’t think Coldspring’s offense will be that effective against Diboll.

EC had a better offense. It’s easier to stop a good back if you can just stack the box and not have to worry about a pass play.

Zac’s senior year 2018-2019. Zac averaged 15 yards while Caesar averaged 11 so just disagree with those numbers

I could see us MAYBE going 2 or 3 rounds in the playoffs. As small as it seems, 3 rounds would be huge for us because I don’t believe we’ve ever done it and it would give us good momentum and even higher expectations going into next year. I could also see us missing the playoffs if we loose to Anahuac and Kirbyville beats Buna. So I just hope our guys are 100% focused on Anahuac for now and we’ll move forward from there.

3 or 4 years ago we had Zac Martin and Caesar was good but not quite good as he is now. He was not the best RB in the district at that point. Zac was.

Yea he’s definitely the best RB we’ve faced all year. Our defense is actually pretty good but he made us look garbage. He’s so fast and if you give him a inch, he’s taking a mile. You have to have all 11 guys 100% focused every single down when you play a guy like him

Our team can be undisciplined at times but I don’t believe it’s the coaches fault. I think we’re just young and need to mature. I love our coaching staff. I mostly think EC was just the better team. We had chances to really make it a game but I think nerves got the best of us. You get that with a young team especially playing a good team like EC. We need to play a much better game next week vs Anahuac though

Good game EC. Gave us a good whipping but we had some bright spots. Can’t honestly say we played well but we showed we were capable at times. There is nothing we could do to stop Caesar and we had to many turnovers on offense. I know we have a young team but we need to go ahead and clean that up at this point.

Should be a good one.

I have no problem with EC or Caesar. I have a problem with recruiting and that’s what I was speaking on. Far as I know Caesar wasn’t recruited and he legitimately transferred. I wouldn’t be upset at all if EC won state. Good luck

Good news is Grandview’s region 2 this year. But your right, it’ll probably be tough from second round forward. I could see EC making a second round exit. I could also see EC winning region although Hallettsville will be a tough out. Don’t see anyone in the state beating Grandview though.

Whole thread has turned to a pitty party. Livingston is obviously the favorite but I think LCM has better shot than most believe. They have to find what works on offense though. If the coaching staff hasn’t figured anything out this late in the season that’s on them.

Great first half! We let up a little in the second but that’s ok. Maybe we’ll have a little extra in the tank for EC. 🦅 🦅

I expected Vidor’s offense to be more effective. Vidor still missing #23 or is Livingston’s defense just tougher than I thought?

If you don’t see a problem with a team selecting players from all over the place competing against teams who use what they have then you probably just don’t understand the concept of a level playing field. There’s a league that exist for programs who like to recruit. If you want to be a part of that then feel free and join. If the kid can do all those things then he could probably do it at the school within the district he lives also.

IDK. I just think when you have multiple kids transferring to a school, especially on a consistent year to year basis, the UIL or whoever needs to really try and dig into it to find out what’s going on. If you just continue to let it happen and there’s no pressure being applied behind it more programs will get more comfortable and more bold. Next thing you know everybody’s recruiting and high school sports as we know it no longer exist

No, that stuff happens all the time. I’m talking about programs actively recruiting kids not kids moving for their own reasons.

There was a 3-way tie between Kville, Buna, and EC in 2014. Kirbyville won the DC in 2015. Woodville won 16 and 17 although I think EC was in a different district at that time. Woodville won 18 with EC included in the same district. EC won last year and it looks like they’ll most likely win this year. Itll probably be some changes next year though
