Meaning it's pretty easy to be relatively right about most of your top picks. It's probably a safe bet to have Gunter, Newton, and DF in your top 5 just about every year since those schools normally make deep runs. Regardless of who wins it all your pics won't look too bad at the end of the year long as those schools make deep runs.
-
It's not too bad overall because there are some things that are just hard to get wrong. It is what it is. It's a computerized simulation.
-
What's your record coaching varsity against Woodville coach?
-
Hooks, New Diana, and West Rusk are all ranked ahead of Woodville
-
Computers. That explains. Most people are right most of the time if they pay attention at all. Region 3 is completely out order other than Newton and DF maybe though. You'll find out soon
-
Well if you did the state rankings also you definitely need to do some more homework. Region 3 is way out of order other than Newton and Daingerfield.
-
Believe that if you want. That man just gotta protect the brand. I don't knock that but if I'm being honest I don't think they know much more than the average fan.
-
That's goes back to what I was saying in the 3AD1 thread. They really don't have a clue. They just take a quick survey and go off that. The picks are not too bad in this case but the kids name is Jacob Hyder and it looked like he played olb/safety last year
-
Congrats Horns. Could be a big season for yall coming up
-
When did Woodville get a Jacob Hunter on the roster 😂
-
It's not about what they know. It's about the information they're being asked to provide. Which is probably mostly about their team rather than the district as a whole.
-
Of course they contact the coaches to ask them about their team. Doesn't mean they'll get a good overview of the district as a whole. They're just guessing mostly based on stats from last year which isn't always that bad but not completely accurate either
-
Yea, DCTF has no idea what they're talking about 😂. They probably have too big of an area to cover to really key in on D10 though
-
EC will be solid also. They have a sophomore qb returning who's probably as good as the AP QB. Neither team will have much up front far as I know. AP probably has the advantage on defense
-
That's why I don't really like the idea of bigger communities splitting into 2 different schools and competing athletically against smaller communities. It's really not a fair playing field since they get to share athletes and the UIL can't do much to regulate it. There will be more Palestine kids transferring over to WW in the next couple years
-
Same caliber. Just less experienced. We'll find out soon though
-
That happens every year. LoL
-
Why a step back?
-
One game on a wet field. Yet you want to get on here and try to downplay a kids talents based off that one game. Even referring to your own team as "mediocre at best" (which is low-key downing your own team) just to further downplay the kid's talent. Your a disgrace man
-
OK and Woodville's jv was above average as you can tell when you look at the scores through the season. I think you know that and think you know Luke wasn't just a "jv player" which is why your amazed that your "team of freshmen" held him and the eagles to 20 points. Even calling it a shutdown when I gave you a couple examples of real "shutdowns". LoL. Just focus on your team and maybe yall can get in the playoffs this year coach
-
Yall barely beat Huntington and Crockett then lost pretty handily to Shepherd. Luke was not shut down by anybody. A shut down is yall scoring zero points against Shepherd or varsity offense not scoring anything against our varsity defense. Those are shutdowns. And according to some other members of this board there was a junior leading your "team of freshmen" in rushing and receiving this year.
-
No excuses. Just facts. He pretty much had his way vs the majority of the jv teams and nobody "shut him down". I don't know what Falcon was watching
-
Bruh, you have no clue what your talking about. He didn't struggle at all on jv. The lowest scoring game was 22 against Franklin's jv the first game of the year and Franklin barely gave up anything the rest of the year. The Coldspring game was a damn mudbowl. Everyone knows that was a fluke. All you have to do is look at the scores against similar opponents.
-
A good question that you choose not to answer I guess lol. He was good enough to play varsity on most 3A teams as a freshman. He just wasn't the best option as a starting qb for Woodville yet and the coaching staff decided it would be better to have him getting more reps on jv rather than being a back up or playing another position on varsity. It was a good decision in my opinion but I can understand your stance to some extent. But the claims that someone is purposely trying to hold him back is just bogus.
-
Who would hold him back because of "who he is"? And why would they do that?
