  1. I don't know a whole lot about his family other than they're wealthy people who have had a hand in politics. I don't know them well enough personally to make statements concerning their character. But Luke's a good kid and a good athlete so judging by that I'd say they're good people.
  2. His family has played a part in being able to pay for quality training and pay for him to attend major camps so he can get exposure. Luke's talent and work ethic got him those offers though. They're not giving offers to kids that can't play
  3. All the preseason games should be fairly competitive. Anahuac and Diboll will probably be a little tougher than OF and CS though. I don't think we have to over do it. Those games should be good enough to break some of the new guys in.
  4. Should be an exciting season from start till finish. I was hoping we'd get to play Newton at home this year but it looks like we'll have to go down the road and meet em again.
  5. I don't really like it but depending on how the brackets play out it could possibly help Woodville win a playoff game or 2
  6. Looks like there's a lineman out there participating in 7 on 7. Good stuff
  7. He's from Woodville. His mother might be from Brazil. I believe his dad played qb for Woodville in the 90s
  8. I'm not offended. Just stating facts to go along with his assessment
  9. He's steadily improving rapidly. Not that your opinion matters much based on some of the wild projections you've made on this site
  10. I believe the Newton RB has had offers for a while but the young QB from Woodville has received 2 power 5 offers within the last month or so.
  11. Yea , I'm surprised. I figured he'd make a good D1 QB. Never would have guessed he'd have 2 power 5 offers before the end of his freshman year though. Can't wait to see him in action this upcoming season
  12. I thought you were talking about Zayon. Which stats are you saying are correct for Dustin? The 22/23 stats can't be correct because he didn't play any varsity at all that year and his numbers were way higher than that on jv.
  13. He was the starting rb the year before also. Probably had over a thousand yards both seasons. The stats your looking at are probably incomplete or something
  14. Don't kidd yourself. It'll always be tough trying to defeat the super speedy Purple Gang
  15. I don't have the stats but I'm pretty sure Zayon had more than 25 yards receiving in just the first game alone. 38 yards rushing is obviously not accurate either. Dustin got a few carries here and there and was also utilized as a HB/TE type the last couple district games and in the playoffs
  16. Newton will also have a lot of size, strength, and experience up front. That will probably be the most significant advantage vs Woodville
  17. I doubt that's truly what your opinion is based on. I saw both teams play each other and I don't know how anyone could form that opinion based on varsity performance.
  18. Depends what your opinion is based on.
  19. Well I'm sure the main goal of most good players is to get an offer but I'm just saying I personally don't assume a player is worthless because he doesn't have offers and don't assume a player who has offers is head and shoulders above everyone else. And you also have to take in consideration just because a guy doesn't have offers "yet" doesn't mean he's not gonna get any.
  20. If your speaking of Luke, I agree. Good player who hasn't been proven on the varsity level yet
  21. No offers. I don't put too much into that stuff. Specially when a young kid is getting an offer based on how good he's projected to be in the future
  22. He's solid. Woodville probably has 2 returning backs just as good though.
  23. Man I've been bamboozled 😂. The kid is really a good player aside from all the top ranking and stuff though. I don't know much about all that.
