Very good start for Lamar in a very weak conference, however much better than the last several seasons. May actually wind up in the middle of the pack. That would be a plus
-
Cowboys better play better if they want to play in round 2. They seldom play well vs the Packers
-
Foreman would be a good choice. That has got to be a joke. WOS was delighted to see him go! What has he done in Killeen ? Can you say not much!
-
I hope you are not referring to the PAM coach!
-
I agree, a defensive minded coach that has discipline and hires a staff that knows how to coach
-
Glad to see that Nederland finally realized that they could not be successful with that coaching staff. I hope they find a very good replacement and he sends the majority of that underachieving football staff packing
-
Well we will just have to agree to disagree on this subject. I think their defensive front is good, however I think their inside LB’ers and secondary are weak areas. Hopefully they will do good in the playoffs I am hoping they can get to the championship round vs SF The main problem I see is an OL that will not allow them to run the ball
-
I pay attention to the entire game and I am about wins and losses. You also need to remember that the Cowboys have only beaten 2 good teams this season and their road record is not very good
-
I said Vanderbilt Esch was a good leader on the defensive side with a high intelligence of lining people up and he played hard, however these stats you produced are nothing to write home about. A good guy and good character, just an average LB’er
-
Diggs not sighs
-
Vanderbilt Esch was a very good leader and lined people in the right spots, however he was an average LB’er whose career is unfortunately over. Sighs so so player. Dallas has not have very good inside LB’ers in several years
-
The defensive problem is that you rarely see #’s 14 and 33 make a play. They always seem to be misaligned and attack with the wrong shoulder or get get destroyed by OL and the secondary is way too soft. The run defense has been bad mainly due to where are those 2 LB ‘ers I mentioned The defensive front is good. They simply must draft good inside LB’ers
-
I forgot about the Buffalo game. They have played 16 games and the defense has been poor in 7 of those games, so I don’t think Dan Quinn and the defense needs any gold stars. Probably 2 more games and done unless they can somehow beat TB 3 more games at the most. Basically same type of season as last year
-
I take it that you forgot about the Arizona, SF, and Philadelphia games this year on this outstanding defense They have beaten 2 good teams this season in 16 games. Detroit and Philadelphia The other 9 wins have been against teams that are not very good
-
We must be watching a different game. They let Miami go score their last drive when they got the ball with under 4 minutes to play and Detroit took it down and scored with under 2 minutes to play. I would not call that good defense
-
Defense tried to blow it 2 weeks in a row. Dan who? Boy is he an overrated coordinator #14 and # 33 are 2 of the worst LB’ers I have seen in a long time and the secondary is weaker than well water The OL is one of the worst in the NFL. No wonder they can run the ball
-
Simple truth on Cowboys
-
Do not be surprised if they are 10-6 after Detroit They are simply not very good. One of the worst offensive lines in the NFL. They have an extremely poor secondary and the two inside LB’ers are possibly the worst 2 LB’ers in the NFL. Every time I watch them play, I can tell they are not coached very well. They will most likely be 1 and done in the playoffs. On the bright side they have more excuses than the law allows
-
I am watching Lamar vs LSU game. It looks like a HS vs a junior high. Lamar is absolutely horrible Lamar has to get rid of these coaches, they are having a hard time beating the bad teams. They will be close to cellar dwellers in the SLC
-
Too me an elite coach will have these traits very good discipline and the team makes very few mistakes (non many penalties, few turnovers, a fundamentally sound team in all 3 phases, and a team that plays extremely hard) assistant coaches that are on the same page, very loyal, highly dedicated, and teach fundamentals very well and have an excellent game plan vs every opponent the entire coaching staff treats the players well and the team is highly prepared for every game. They also have a tremendous off season program Even if the talent level is down, their opponent will know they have been in an extremely tough battle after the game is over
-
Hopefully Big Ned will make a change soon If not we will continue to see bad football at Nederland

I don’t think the penalties that caused the Indians possibly 2 earlier TD’s and a dropped pass were caused by coaching. I would say very good coaching when you are 15-1 with the loss being the 1st game of the season. Remember SOC’s only 2 losses were to DeSoto and Duncanville who are playing in the 6A state finals -

Tremendous win against a very good team. It is amazing when the district hires a coach that creates a phenomenal defense and has assistant coaches that do a fantastic job coaching what a great win -
I thought Bellville was supposed to have a good defense! There defense looks horrible and yes it looks like the coach is a cryer

Poor Lamar Mens basketball has fallen on hard times under Brooks. They competed much better under Price. Have they beaten one decent team this season and the answer is NO
