Bring on the QB and who is bringing the receivers, OL, LB’ers, RB, DL, and secondary The majority of all those positions were bad last season Same coaching staff anywhere from 2-8 to 5-5 losses: Dayton, Marshall, PAM, PNG, TC wins: GP, Willowridge either way: WOS, Silsbee, SF

An outstanding coach and a great guy but they got beat in the state championship game by Odessa Permian -
Got the 1st conference sweep with an outstanding 19hit attack and 12 runs Starting pitcher did a fabulous job, however 3 of the 4 relievers were bad. Davis keeps putting 2 of them in and they are bad just about every time they pitch but he keeps putting them in They need to win 5 of their last conference games to move up for the tournament 6 non conference games left. Should beat PV and hopefully 2 of 3 vs SFA. I do not know how they will do vs Baylor and UT Rio Grande Valley
-
Nice to see some hits and runs for the Cards and pitchers only gave up 1 run would be mighty nice to see a sweep tomorrow only the 2nd series to win this season
-
Unfortunately PNG and GCM will be 1 and done in playoffs BH has a good chance of advancing and Crosby is a ? Mark
-
Good news is that they won the series. Bad news is that they forgot to show up the last game showing why they are toward the bottom in conference They must sweep the last place team at home in order to move up for the conference tournament
-
That means it could be PNG at 3 and GCM at 4
-
Looks like 1 BH 2 Crosby 3 GCM 4 PNG
-
Well they have a great chance now to win at least 2 from UIW and possibly a sweep Maybe they can sweep the final 2 conference opponents
-
Yes, nice to get a much needed win. I hope they sweep or at least win the series. 7-9 in conference now and hopefully 9-9 after this series
-
Well Lamar comes through against Houston They beat 3 good teams in A&M, TCU, and U of H, but haven’t won but 1 series in the Southland conference How can you play good against those 3 but lousy vs 1 of the weakest conferences in NCAA D1 Look for 1-2 vs SEL and McNeese. I don’t know how they will do vs HCU
-
The Cards just can’t get it done. Relief pitching is still poor and get get timely hitting going. I don’t know for the life of me why they seem to always play bad vs A&M CC. 3 conference series left and since they never seem to play well vs SEL, I look for 1-2 vs them, 1-2 vs Mc Neese, and either 2-1 or 1-2 vs HCU. They end up in conference either 10-14 or 9-15 and probably in 9th out of 9
-
Glad to see good hitting today need to win the series tomorrow
-
Same coaching staff and not a whole lot of talent. The Junior class is going to be decent, I don’t know if many sophomores will make varsity, the senior class will be weak like last season’s class Under this coaching staff, I look for the season results to be anywhere from2-8 to 5-5 and sitting at home again with district record either 3-4 or 2-5 Posters that are honest and correctly evaluate the game know that last year, the team played like an HISD school
-
Wow, what a nice win vs TCU. I did not expect this. Bats came alive tonight and pitching did enough for the W The Cards have 2 nice wins vs A&M and TCU, however they are average in one of the weakest conferences in NCAA D1. It appears that they play to the level of competition Maybe they can get it going this 2nd half of conference
-
Nice win and an excellent pitching performance today. It looks like I am going to be right on the money after TCU. I predicted 19-17 after TCU They have 20 regular season games left My predictions: non conference- losses to TCU, Baylor, Houston, UT Rio Grande, and 1-2 vs SFA. Wins- Prarie View and 1 vs SFA (2-6) conference: 1-2 vs SEL, 1-2 vs McNeese, could be anywhere from2-1 to 1-2 vs CC and HCU season before tournament anywhere from27-28 to 25-30 changed from yesterday: conference anywhere from 11-13 to 9-15 if they make conference tournament 0-2
-
The way the Cards are playing now, I am predicting 24-31 season and 8-16 conference record and either 8th or 9th in conference
-
Just stating facts. Lamar is not playing well in all phases of the game right now. They are not hitting well, not pitching well, and not scoring enough runs to win games. call these comments negative if you want but they are facts. I simply think Lamar can’t recruit well and on the negative side Davis has not done well since he has been there. The pitching staff may be better than last year as you have stated, however it is not good by any means
-
A big thanks to KF89 for posting district standings each week
-
Well I see that fabulous pitching staff did it again. Davis again puts 2 relievers in that can’t get the job done. I noticed 1 of them has an 80 something ERA and he continues pitching him and he continues getting shelled. 18-14 now and probably 19-17 after TCU and 5-7 conference after this weekend’s series. Do not be surprised if they wind up with a losing record and are sitting at home during the conference tournament
-
Davis does it again in game #3 vs Northwestern The Cards are up 4-2 bottom of 7th and Davis puts in 2 relief pitchers that have shown time after time that they can’t get the job done. I don’t understand why he puts them in, I guess he likes getting beat. Lamar’s pitching staff is struggling badly After 9 conference games, are close to being cellar dwellers. They will probably be 18-17 after the TCU game and 5-7 in conference
-
Big win in game #2 vs Northwestern Pitching staff tried to blow it until they brought in their only reliable reliever Cleveland. Hopefully they can win the 3rd game, however they are going to have to hit better
-
48 halfway through conference play Look for them to be 8th or 9th at the end of conference play
-
Sorry many hits. As my old padna used to say I knew they were bad I just didn’t know they were this bad!
-
Well I see this excellent pitching staff gave up a bunch of runs and many runs vs Northwestern tonight as they continue to take a nose dive in the conference standing. They are about 2 series away from being dead last. Looks like Davis and Cards are going to finish the season with a losing record and may not make it to the conference tournament the way they are playing since going 9-0 at the start of the season. 8-12 since then and 3-4 conference
