How about a quick recap of the games they have played so far. They have played 2 good teams, 2 average teams, 1 that is below average this year and 3 really bad teams. The WOS game was a big win, however if you watched the entire game, Nederland had a dozen or less offensive plays with 2 big pass plays for TD’s. Just about every time WOS made a big run it was called back for a penalty, plus Thompson was not there, but a big win .Houston Austin, Santa Fe, and Dayton are bad football teams this season. The Dogs had big wins in all games, but did not play well in the Austin and Santa Fe games. They looked very sluggish in the Austin game and scored fewer points than any other team in district against Santa Fe at home. They did play pretty good defense vs Dayton and actually ran the ball well. The Silsbee and PNG games were big wins, however in both games the defense was bad in the 1st half. Thankfully the Silsbee defense was worse than Nederland’s in the 2nd half and PNG choked the pooch with turnovers in the 2nd half. Still both good wins. Against TC, the offense was awful. They could not score from a 1st and goal at the 3 yard line and the safeties were lost as a goose on TC’s 2 TD’s, especially the one right before half. That was the 2nd worse game the Dogs have played this year. Finally, the BH game at home was atrocious. BH pujnted 1 timeand had over 600 yards on offense. The Nederland defensive game plan was bad. Thank you GoPro I have watched all 8 games the Bulldogs have played and I would say after watching, that my assessment is pretty accurate The QB has struggled with accuracy all season, however he does run the ball well and he is probably their best QB. The Oline is big, however they haven’t blocked well at all. The RB’s do not block well and are slow, however when your line doesn’t block it is tough to run. I certainly think if you ask BH, PNG, and Silsbee, and in 2 weeks Crosby, they will tell you that Big Ned’s defense is weak. After watching all games, I think that it could possibly be the worst defense Nederland has had in the last 20 years Yes, they will finish 7-3 and 4-3 unless KO upsets them this week. Their only chance to make the playoffs is if TC beats the Indians this week and I don’t see it happening

outa up is correct about the offense. RB’s are not very good, QB’s accuracy is poor, only 1 decent receiver, and the Oline is really bad, however the defense is also bad. The secondary is basically non existent, only 1 decent LB’er, and the Dline is weak, so yes they have probably over achieved 7-3 not bad, 4-3 district, and unfortunately sitting at home during the playoffs

for all you folks that keep saying Nederland’s Oline and defense is good, shame on you for telling a tale. Simply put they are BAD! Crosby may score 80 on the Dogs

Nederland defense is horrible and Oline may be even worse BH may score 70. looks like a varsity vs JV we now know the 4 playoff teams Crosby, TC, PNG, and BH

someone forgot to tell the Bulldog defense to show up and they can’t run the ball because Oline is not blocking anyone. looks like 7-3 and sitting at the house. looks like BH may score 60

OLine is big, but not very good and the QB’s accuracy is not good, so the running game better get going. The defense has been good for most of the games played and they better be very good Friday night Hopefully they will be and just maybe the offense can get going. I just don’t have a good feeling right now for the Bulldogs after watching them this year I think they played pretty well vs WOS, and Dayton due to the defense, fair against PNG, and poorly against TC. You can’t count Austin and Santa Fe because they are not good at all.

If Nederland loses they go 4-3. TC anywhere from 4-3 to 6-1, PNG anywhere from4-3 to 5-2, BH anywhere from 4-3 to 5-2 if they beat Nederland so whoever loses is probably not going to the playoffs

I hope Nederland is back on track. If not there is a great possibility of them sitting at the house come playoff time

They only had a 13-7 halftime lead The defense is playing well in some games, but not so good in others(PNG and Silsbee) I just don’t know what defense is going to show up, but have played pretty well the last 2 games, so hopefully coming on. They very well could sit at the he house come playoff time if they lose this one Sure hope they play well

Nederland played good defense against Austin, Santa Fe, and Texas City. They did not play good defense against Silsbee or PNG. Hopefully they will put all things together against Dayton. If they lose this one, unfortunately they will wind up 6-4 and sitting at the house come playoff time. Dogs, put it together this week!

Put #11 at RB. He could possibly get 3-4 yards a carry. Simply need to find a QB who is an accurate passer. I don’t know if they have one. I know if they lose to Dayton the season is probably over. I just can’t see them beating BH or Crosby the way they are playing now. I know they beat PNG for Mid County Madness and ONG beat BH, however PNG’s offense is much better than the Dogs offense. Dayton, BH, and Crosby are very capable of scoring a lot of points

Did you watch the offense vs Texas City! The OL was BAD, the QB was BAD, the pass routes were BAD. There is either a major lack of talent are poor coaching are a combination of the 2. Yes, the same coaching staff, so where does the problem lie?

Nederland’s OL is bi, slow, and did not block anyone They have slow runnng backs, and I know this is probably their best QB, however he is the worst they have had in many a year. They either beat Dayton are sit at the house when the playoffs get here. The defense played their hearts out except for the TD right before the half. They are still not very good after 6 games. Who ever coaches the OL and QB positions are doing a poor job.
